Just looking at the highlights again that Blip posted earlier How is that not a red card? There’s no other Fylde player even close to that defender?

Well spotted, gents. I agree that he should have been sent off. There were two defenders retreating along the edge of the box but they couldn't possibly have got to Holman to prevent a shot on goal. Therefore, a clear goal-scoring opportunity was denied by a foul. Red card.
Maybe the players were excited about the prospect of a penalty and didn't push the matter with the ref. (He should have acted anyway, of course.)
Interesting to speculated how the second half might have panned-out if they'd been a goal down and a man down.

As a matter of interest, are there any recent examples of Orient losing to teams reduced to ten men?

Hi, Kbola,
thanks for the reply.
Last season Orient lost twice to sides who'd had a man sent off.
In September, 2016 we lost to Notts County - that's one year and five months ago. In football terms that's not particularly 'recent'. It's more like ancient history.
In February, 2017 we lost to Carlisle. That's a year ago. Again, I don't think that can be regarded as being 'recent'.
Would you agree that the team and overall situation, as it was back then, has changed significantly?
From what I've seen since Edinburgh arrived - especially in the last month or so - the team now has the necessary players and attitude to beat an opposing side that is down to 10 men. In my opinion, if Fylde had had the defender sent off, we might have enjoyed a more emphatic victory. You may not agree and that's perfectly ok by me. I'm simply speculating, that's all.

Decision could have gone either way ( penalty or free kick ) i just can't understand why the guy didn't even get booked , maybe because Holman was going away from goal ?

Hi, fella,
I'm not 'Jeff'. My name is as you see it - Barry. I realise that it's more usual to use a pseudonym on social media but I just can't be bothered with all that. If I used an alias I'd probably forget what it was and I'd end up even more confused than I already am. Whoever 'Jeff' is or was, I'm not him.
