Got to give Jobi the day off IMO and possibly Bonne, playing Harrold and Simpson together. Keep the back 5 and give Lee some game time with Gorman. Should be enough to beat Telford. If JE wants to experiment a bit, try Brophy and Dayton as wing backs.

Everyone in the tin pot cup, Stick Sotiriou in goal and Theo up front I pretty much agree with Big Ron's comment about you, begins with B and ends in X

Rest Bonne & McAnuff for sure, I wouldn't risk Simmo either.
Harrold and Koroma up top, Alabi on the bench.

Certainly no point risking Simpson, who was only half-fit on Tuesday. Lee is out for two weeks/fit again, depending on which version you read, but that leg injury sounds dodgy so I'd give him this week off. JE played Bonne every game last year, even when he was having a similar lean spell, so he could do it again. I'd start with Alabi and Harrold, hope for a miracle, and then give Koroma the last 20 minutes.

All the players will be desperate to play in both legs against Telford and that is the way it should be.

Absolutely no risks with people carrying a knock and only the right amount of time for Koroma and Dayton. If we lose, so be it.

I’m expecting pretty much a full strength team, we are two games away from a trip to Wembley so I can’t see Justin looking to play the fringe/youth players now. Saying that I think we’ll line up as
Brill Ling Turley Happe Widdowson Dayton Clay Gorman Brophy Harrold Bonne
I think we will look to get ahead early and then make use of the subs as quick as possible, namely giving Bonne a rest and Koroma or Simmo a runout.

You make it sound like a formality ,lets hope the players don't , Telford will be looking forward to this, possibly more than O's .

Can’t see where I’m saying its a for-gone conclusion? All I’m saying is that we should go at them early to get in front, so our main players don’t have to play the full game. In addition to that, the longer the game goes on at 0-0 the more confidence Telford will have, so again should try and knock the wind out of their sails early doors. Whether the plan works is another thing.

Are there any rules regarding how many players you need to play from the previous game?
If there isn't..
Brill
Clayden Ogie Turley Lawless
Brophy Gorman Kyprianou
Koroma Alabi Harrold
Depending on fitness maybe Lee and Simpson.
Possible cameo appearances from Dayton, Ekpiteta and Coulson for fitness purposes.

Sweeney has played in the last couple so I think he gets this one too. That could also fit in quite well as I'm not sure Ling is 100%. But this is a trophy JE wants to win so no youth experiments at this stage of the game.

I meant Sweeney instead of Clayden.
Yeah on either side of defence could work.
I haven't seen enough of the youth so can't really comment. I know the first team need a rest though.

The disappointment of losing in a semi final may transfer itself to the league form, we must go for it. What a boost for our remaining league games it would be knowing that we have a Wembley final to look forward to!

How do the first team need a rest. When they play games they don’t have to train. On top off that they do a short week , have a physiotherapist and masseur and good food to keep them going .You don’t get that in most jobs I know ,particularly when you have mortgages and you have to do overtime to make ends meet. Footballers life’s not bad. i do think some of the older or walking wounded or players that have played most games, should go shopping instead.

I’m sure JE wants to win this and would have hoped for a 2 or 3 goal cushion for the away leg, so he could field a weaker side before the more important league game the following Tuesday. Best laid plans and all that. 😔
