I've always thought it would be nice to have a few extra taps, one for tea, one for coke (drink or drugs, not bothered) and one for crisps

I thought that was the competition we are playing in tonight. The Walkers Crisps Multipack. I'd boycott it out of protest, I cannot live properly on 22. I actually buy 48, now that becomes 44. Minus 4 packets, that's almost half a day

Minus 4 packets, that's almost half a day Is it economic reduction to maintain the price but to reduce the quantity sold? or is it the Nanny state applying pressure to manufacturer's to reduce consumption to the population. The likes of the Jamie Oliver's of the world telling us what is, or not good for us to eat. The quantity and quality of food consumed by people is their choice. Whether they are making the right choice is a different matter. Perhaps those that want to reduce the fat content of foods should look at the wider perspective of why people eat excessively. Lack of exercise, boredom, anxiety are factors with anxiety a major factor resulting in comfort eating which I am a culprit. The mental health sector of the NHS is underfunded compared to other sectors. Local GP fund holding practices in my experience do not resource a qualified counsellor because of cost but rely on voluntary organisations to plug the gap with the resultant shortfall of care.

They also put the price up by 50p for the 24 pack a few months ago. A year ago it was £3 for 24 pkts, now it's £3.50 for 22 pkts. I wish I could stop eating crisps mainly because 2 bags of 24/22 pkts is very big and bulky when I'm walking back from the shops. I think eating the odd bag of crisps stops me from eating more of other things. You know when you put a bag of crisps in the oven or microwave they shrink, if only it was the other way round, buy them shrunk and expand them when you get home. Forget vaccines, they should be working on that

Ready Salted and Cheese and Onion are my favourites.
I'm not that keen on Prawn Cocktail, I try to eat them first to get them out of the way.
Salt and Vinegar for only when I'm in a Salt and Vinegar mood, I mean I wouldn't eat them at breakfast, I save them for my adrenaline moments.
I tried to make me own once, soggy mess.

I love pork scratchings but I think that they're too expensive for the amount that you get. Same goes for beef jerky.
My first proper job was in a butchers, and the pork rind that they make them from mostly we put in the fat bin to be collected by the fat and bone bloke.

Who can remember the days when the salt was in a small blue bit of paper. Crisps were just potato and salt. 4d in old money.
Though where I went to school the shop sold bags of broken crisps for 1d. Loved them, after all when in your mouth you break them anyway.
For all you younger folks, there were 240 old pennies in a pound.
These days I don’t eat crisps very often but when I do it’s Kettles. Sometimes Pringles because many places, like Orient, they are convenient to stack and sell.

Why were Bovril flavoured crisps discontinued?
They were very nice, my favourite flavour, those and Sausage & Tomato potato puffs.

I learn something new on this board every day. I take it scratchings are similar to pork rinds or pork skins here. This area is known for barbecue, and in my hometown there were numerous family owned barbecue places and pork rinds/skins were complementary. They were also served at the public school cafeterias I attended as a kid along with fatback. I too think they’re too expensive in our stores, but I still get them. I consider it a health food. Haha.

Corn chips. Not Doritos though, prefer the plain, unflavoured ones.

The thing about Pringles is they always try to walk it in. Oh no, that's not right. The thing about Pringles is once you start, you can't stop.
