As I’ve been watching the os for 71 years I guess that makes me one of the Orients oldest ( longest) supporters.. Orient should award supporters such as you a free lunch every season. The over 70s club.

Purely where I live ,although a lot confuse it with Maryland . Out on the Dengie. Some great pubs still there. Cap & Fevvers in Tillingham and the Prince of Wales in Stow Marie’s etc etc.

My folks are from Stoke Newington and Walthamstow, that didn't stop me ending up with a German name, not a good feature if you live on a giant council estate filled with bombed out cockneys just after WW2.😮

When I joined the other board, there was someone posting as Chief Crazy Horse. Quite liked his blunt approach, and as I used to have a poster on my wall from the premier of How The West Was Won, I picked one of the other featured names off of it, hence I’m Buffalobill. Could have been Kit Carson, Sitting Bull, Geronimo, Jim Bowie or Davy Crockett, amongst many others. 😁

The idea of supporters of over 70 years being invited for a free meal goes down well with me but I already enjoyed that privilege when I was a guest of Barry Hearn in the boardroom for a league cup match against Luton. Naturally I was suited and booted and both prior to the game , half time and full time I was enjoying drinks with the Luton chairman and one of the directors. At half time I remarked that I was impressed with their young centre half Curtis ( his surname escapes me) . Interestingly he was sold to Aston Villa shortly after and went straight into their first team. Anyway, as they were about to leave the chairman and director thanked me for my hospitality, obviously thinking I was an orient director to which I replied that he was very welcome and I was sure that they would reciprocate in kind when we hopefully meet in the league, by us going up not them coming down. The chairman said, “Mickey you don’t have to wait till then , you would be a welcome guest at Luton anytime, here’s my card, give me a call”. I then related the events to Barry Hearn who said “ it’s more than the thanks I got, not so much as an acknowledgment “.
