"For an undisclosed fee". I imagine he hasn't come cheap, either in the fee or his wages The comment “Lincoln….will retain an interest in the player” indicates that there will be some split of any future transfer fee that the O’s may get - so possibly that will have the effect of suppressing the £ spent now?

"For an undisclosed fee". I imagine he hasn't come cheap, either in the fee or his wages all fees in the EFL are designated undisclosed. I'm not 100% sure of the reason, but something in my head says its designed to stop other clubs taking all the money you've earned in selling a previous player. Obviously the FA have all the details of the transaction. The Premier is not subjected to that due to the amount of money the clubs have or have access to so its immaterial in that respect. If someone knows better please feel free to correct and update my post.

Personally I’m not fussed by the fee. Hope it was small. Wages, a matter for the player and the club. As are other contract conditions. Private. Such things need to stay that way, a recipe for friction when stuff gets out.
What matters is we have signed an excellent player who is great to watch. In Archibald, Smyth, Khan we have some really exciting and creative players, a trio I struggle to think of better for some time. Add James to that and we should not be lacking in creativity and players who contribute to the goals for column.

Sure. Though managers do leave after signing players, I don’t think Swindon are interested. Recall many years ago Jimmy Bloomfield signed a good player in Ian Bowyer. Shortly after, Bloomfield moved to Leicester City. Big step up. We played Leicester City in the cup that year at their old ground. I had the delight of watching Bowyer score both goals in a 2-0 win. Sweet. Sorry to be pedantic but Peter Allen scored the second O’s goal in that match! Great game though and a prelude to the fabulous 3-2 comeback win against Chelsea in the next round. I’m sure you are right. Trusting to memory rather than looking it up. Just recall Bowyer running over to the Leicester bench as part of his celebrations. 👍

Just hope that Theo shows something like last seasons form and also work needed to learn to calm down his emotions in order to help avoid picking up unnecessary bookings/red cards.

Just hope that Theo shows something like last seasons form and also work needed to learn to calm down his emotions in order to help avoid picking up unnecessary bookings/red cards. He is a passionate rather than dirty player. The likes of Pratley will always get cards, in their DNA. Theo, allows his gob to take over. But it seems to me he runs on emotion and that contributed to him joining Orient. He likes the club and appreciates the fans who have taken to him. Must feel nice to be appreciated for the job you do. Makes him try even harder. The emotions increase. So whilst I agree, he needs to control his gob. I also recognise the emotions he has that make him an Orient player for the next two years.
