Not a drop for me tonight, but I’ve chosen April Fool’s Day on purpose. Why not?

Because of the postponement yesterday, it's possible it could still be Harrogate at home on the bank holiday Monday if we keep up our good form and results go our way. More realistically i now feel it will be Sutton away on the 15th April. Alternatively getting promoted away at Gillingham on Tuesday 18th sounds so grim and typically Orient. Crewe at home on the 22nd April if we string it out for a bit for our supporters. But we'd probably lose

I close my eyes and pray before each match It’s usually in the middle of the night when I get the alarm bell to see BBC results
I am lucky on the predication table but regarding this game predication I actually want it ASAP I want the third place usual points total first, then I will focus on the kings crown for lofc - I don’t want the chasing pack, particularly Carlisle, who are on a hot streak to overtake lofc on mass
I do not want the play off crap.
I want lofc totally focused on stuffing Colchester back up the A12 pointless, then followed by two quick wins
I don’t mind the percentages for possession being more than Barcolona,or less, but the object is the round leather thing stuck in between the two white sticks and no goals conceded.

I have a football cultural question for the board. Would one risk some form of jonahing (?) if one were to wish to feel epicaricacy for the team from Cumbria? I mean someone hoping for a wobble (?) or a mini crisis. I’m ready to suspend logic and embrace superstition if necessary. I’m not saying I’d wield pre epicaricacy, but I just want to know my options and the risks no matter how chimerical.
Still holding out for April 1 for promotion.

Another beauty in the DT comments in the week which could apply to managers and all of us at times.Mumpsimuses.

I've had a drink. I'm being bold. What game will see us promoted / reach 81 points? Depends on when Mansfield game is played. I am hoping that beating Carlisle more or less seals it, but suspect promotion/title won't be mathematically sealed until after Crewe game. Hard to see Orient being 10 or more clear with all sides played 43 games ahead of that.

Need a new poll as Orient can’t be promoted nor reach 81 points by beating Carlisle now I expect Orient to be assured of promotion after Crewe game and confirm title after Stockport game, but expecting Os to be 6 clear that morning with superior goal difference

I’m still very optimistic about the future for the club.

We're gonna somehow manage to secure something at Gillingham away. How depressing does that sound.. promotion secured at Gillingham away on a rainy Tuesday evening 🙂
I'll sort a poll later

When this poll first appeared, I thought Crewe and still do. We'll be playing teams that will be fighting hard. Teams that get stuck into us often get something. I wouldn't swap our position (standing and fixtures) but I don't think it will be smooth. My priority is promotion but as the boys have done so well, I would like for them to have the title on their career achievements - hence my slight negativity when we drop points, like Saturday gone.

Not a maths genius by any stretch of the imagination but it’s really close now. I just hope it’s a home game that confirms it!

Not a maths genius by any stretch of the imagination but it’s really close now. I just hope it’s a home game that confirms it! There is an 11 point gap to Carlisle who have played one more game and a 13 point gap to Bradford who have played the same number. So if Orient match their results, the most likely scenario is clinching promotion at Gillingham with Carlisle playing Stockport that evening as well.

I'm not convinced 81 points will be enough for promotion. Looking at the upcoming fixtures I could see Northampton, Stevenage and Bradford all getting to the low/mid 80 points mark. Still some work to do for the O's. Reckon 85 points for promotion and 87 for the league title. Promotion clinched at Mansfield. Title clinched at home to Stockport. But hopefully sooner if one of the chasing pack falters.

But hopefully sooner if one of the chasing pack falters. Unlikely the team in 4th will get to 85 points due to Carlisle, Northampton, Bradford, Salford and Stockport all taking points each other in the rest of the season. Promotion should be confirmed at Sutton, Gillingham or at home to Crewe depending on other results. With 77 points at the moment, I would expect to be around 83 after Sutton which makes it pretty much a done deal barring freak results. 84 won the title last season and 80 was enough to be 3rd (and 4th). Stevenage have a fairly easy run in and would expect to win many of those games. So title could go to the Mansfield game or beyond if Stevenage get on a roll.
