I dont get all this nervousness and negativity we are top for a reason - because we are the best team in the league. Lets really get behind the team. There is a power in positive thought. Negativity serves no purpose.

The fact that we are top is largely due to the 28 points we amassed from the first ten matches. Since then it has been play-off form at best (45 points from 26 matches). Had we shown that form over the whole of the season (instead of just the majority) we would only have 62 points. When that is borne in mind we surely have every right to feel nervous!

I hear you but the season is 46 games not the first ten or the last 26. Over the course of 36 games you are going to get dips in form, injuries, changes in weather, changes in the opposition. Overall we are where we deserve to be. Im not nervous at all. If we go up then it will have been earned. We would have KILLED to be in this position at the start so we should be over the moon with where we are. We are going up. Enjoy the ride.

Up to O's get your champers ready lads!!

Since then it has been play-off form at best (45 points from 26 matches). Maintaining play off form (17 points from 10 games) will mean 90 points and pretty much certainly winning the league unless Stevenage win nearly all their remaining games. Even with bottom of the table form like Rochdale means another 7 points makes 80 and that should suffice for promotion. No need to be nervous just yet. Wait until after the Carlisle game .

Just as I was writing similar Looking back at the first 10 games, none of the opposition are in the mix for promotion and there were wins against the sides in the bottom 4 places, which are games I would now expect Orient to win, though they did throw away a couple of points against Colchester at the weekend. Only five defeats and two of those away to Northampton and Stevenage who are in the mix.

This may be a bit controversial but I think for a team that’s probably going to win the league the atmosphere considering most games have been virtually sold out has been poor.I keep thinking back to our playoff game against Peterborough and the atmosphere inside the ground that night was unbelievable and and has never been repeated. The ground should be bouncing for all the next home games and the club should try to get the atmosphere just before kick off going. Not sure how but they should try something

Well some of the doommongers on here need to lighten up, get behind the team instead of predicting doom and gloom all the time.
This will in my view go down as one of the greatest seasons in our history when we win it. I've never seen us win a league titel in the EFL and whilst quite a few on here go back to the time when we last did, little old me is proper excited to say the words CHAMPIONS.

Totally agree with this the National league was great but I’ve never seen us win a EFL title either and I firmly believe this team will. This season will never be repeated. To have only lost five games up to now is truly remarkable.Full houses at home week after week never been known in my fifty years of supporting the Os.We are unbeaten in our last eight and still well clear at the top and yet some think we are wobbling it’s weird it really is.Next season when we are in league one things will not be like this and I only hope RW gets the time and support he deserves and needs to succeed.Orient historically are the poor relations in London but this season I’ve walked around with my head held high and that’s because of RW and the team.Let’s roar them home to the title they richly deserve.Up the mighty Os

I've looked at Stevenage over the last 26 games and they also average 1.7 points per game, they are never going to overtake us if the PPG remains the same.
However, over the last 10 games we have picked up 1.6 ppg whilst Stevenage have picked up a paltry 1.2 by Comparison.
We also have a crucial game in hand over Carlise and we've to play them at our place that game would wipe them out when we beat them.
Onwards and upwards, the band is practising their tunes ready for the coronation!!

I suspect the atmosphere has been muted as it is probably been a given (rightly or wrongly) that Orient would go up for quite a while. In contrast with the National League win where it was not assured until the final day with Solihull, Salford and Wrexham all very close. Remember home games against Wrexham and Halifax being pretty lively.
