Hearn on Moses
There is likely to be plenty of interest in Moses Odubajo this summer. The 20-year-old winger played every single match last season and his goal in the Wembley final was his 12th of the season. Hearn admitted there have been several enquiries from clubs already but added they will not consider selling Odubajo unless there is an offer well in excess of £1m.
The O’s chairman said: “We have to be realistic if a big club comes in for someone. We wouldn’t hold anyone back but the player is under contract and we wouldn’t accept any silly deals. We don’t need the money badly so it would have to be the proper amount or we wouldn’t talk.
“There is no question Moses would cost well over £1m. If he goes to a higher level at his age, you don’t get those type of players on the cheap.”
Hearn added: “We have built a good squad and we will do everything we can to keep it that way.
“I wouldn’t expect anyone to stay out of loyalty. I understand that players have to do what is best for themselves and their family. But I think Moses would be even better after another year with us.”

Rumours on Twitter saying we are going to sign Adam Legzdins a goalkeeper who has been released from Derby. He was there for 3 seasons.

What do you think would happen if someone comes in with a million and Moses says i would rather stay, do you think Hearn will turn down the money ? I think he would.

As Mo's still under contract, it's not like Hearn would have any choice if Mo wanted to stay; the buying club, the selling club AND the player all have to agree to the move.
It would be like the time a year or so back when Peterborough offered an amount sufficient to buy out Cox's contract but he didn't feel they were the right club for him so declined the move. Or when we gave Lisbie permission to speak to Sheffield United but he decided he'd rather stay at Orient.

Spot on, clubs can't force a player to leave, I hope Moses has a good agent behind him who has he's best interests at heart.

If we could insert a caveat of a years loan too it could work out very well

I would be surprised if Spurs came in straight away with 4 million. If and that's a big if he did go for 4 million how much do you think Hearn would give Slade ?

Won't get £4M, unless that is after add-ons for appearances, sell-on clauses.
I think he'll go for £1M, with significant add-ons built in. Whoever he goes to, a season long loan would I guess be part of the deal, with the loaning club able to recall him if they get a certain level of injuries in his position, i.e. if it were Spurs, then Lennon and Townsend would both have to be injured for him to be recalled.
Keeping a winning team together is just as important for Slade and Hearn as picking up some dosh for the lad, so with the Championship the No1 priority, anyone we talk to will surely be told you can have him but with the loan back proviso. So we get £1M to strengthen the team with and keep one of our best providers of goals and assists. Play it tough Bazza!
Following is extract on the loan system in case anyone was interested: 53.2.2 Subject to the proviso that the duration of a Standard Loan must be the time between two Transfer Windows, Standard Loans can be for half a Season or a full Season. Any recall clause requiring the early termination of a Standard Loan can only be included in a full Season Standard Loan and this can only be activated during the second (January) Transfer Window. Any other early termination of a Standard Loan must be by way of a mutual agreement in writing (including by way of a recall clause within the Standard Loan Agreement) between both Clubs and the Player but can only be completed after the expiry of 28 days and only during a Transfer Window
