You can bet your life that will be over 3 or 4 payments, sold short again like, Cunningham, Otto, Bob Taylor, Bart-Williams, now we can add Odubajo. The club takes the pee out of us.

Moses could have done better than Brentford and I'm sure the club could have held out for more than a Poxy million, which won't be in one lump sum but over 3 or 4. Gutted.

Can't remember who said it on Twitter but it said Brentford were the highest bidders. And Moses said he wanted to go, so let him go and take the money.

Ha ha I was reading this thread while not logged in and the advert banner at the top of the page was flashing up: MASSIVE SALE NOW ON - EVERYTHING MUST GO!Hope it wasn't referring to Orient.

I cant believe that of all the clubs reportedly interested Brentford were the highest bidders. More likely they were the FIRST serious bidder and typical of Orient we didn't hold out. Peterborough got 5 million for Dwight gale who was playing non league football 18 months previous. O.k. its done but I just hope that this does not signal a mass exodus, especially vincelot .

An infuriating sale, particularly as this takeover is supposed to strengthen our spending power. Could it be anything to do with the fact that RS is due a percentage of the sale sum and that after the takeover no one knows whether he will continue as manager (although hopefully he will)? Bit fanciful maybe, but I fail to see the need for this transaction. Whether the player wants to go or not should be immaterial.

The "Due Diligence " period will be weeks not days . There is no way Hearn will or can spend any money on new players. Most players of any worth will be with new clubs, so it will be down to the new owner (if that happens) to get players in . I personally don't think this will be the last player leaving the O`s.

If a player wants to go he will, one way or another.Know one knows what was said or promised to players when they signed for us.It could have been play for us and if we don't go up you have the option to leave. If that was the case then that helps to raise the players profile and then they move on.Players wont play well if they don't want to stay. We will lose at least 4 of our better players this close season and possibly more in the coming season. If the takeover goes ahead then the management and staff are also at risk. I hope this isn't a Watford in the making!

It's been reiterated several times that we did not have to sell the player, that he was happy with us, that we would not be selling ourselves short (or words to that effect), etc. Yet all of a sudden all that goes out the window, the club is being sold and the player departs for a million or thereabouts, swapping 5000 crowds for 8000 crowds at big-time Brentford. I just hope we've got a decent kind of sell-on clause. All very sad in my view.

I can understand him wanting to leave, no problem as obviously he will make money out of the deal. Even though it is Brentford. What an exciting move that is for him. I think we should have insisted on keeping him until January, and then promised that we would sell him to whatever club that came in for him, even effing Brentford. You'd have thought that the new management would be interested in retaining our assets at least long enough to have a look at them. This is clearly not on the agenda though. Looks like we'll be starting from scratch next season.

I'm a bit confused by this 1 million or whatever undisclosed fee it may be as according to Brentford FC the most they have ever payed for a player is 750k Have we sold yet another decent player for peanuts?
