A favourite of mine and loves a shot at goal.Remember we are a division three side and players in our league run hot and cold and you never know what you are going to get.

We’ve waited a long time for Ruel to start to show the player we all thought he could be. Long may it continue. Don’t want him to drift into anonymity again. He’s on a role. ‘We’ havent. Ive always known. The general views as I understand them has always been Ruel had talent but not consistency. My view for sure. He’s had scoring spells before but then follows them up with a period where he adds nothing at all to the game and gets dropped. This time he is adding to his all round game, becoming a team player and not running up too many blind alleys because he won’t pass the ball. He is striking up a good partnership with Pigott. Him striking up a partnership with anyone before I don’t recall. He is growing up as a player. Just in time for his contract to end in June!

All a result of Rual working harder and probably understanding what RW expects of him.Must give credit to Pigott who seems to be blending into a very good Orient player. You can sense the confidence is gaining momentum. As Mozart once said about Beethoven, that boy could go far,or something similar.

I agree. Ruel has been working hard at his game. He has been working on his weaker left foot. Four of his five goals this season have been with his left foot. If he can stay injury free he could have a productive season.

He is also a bit chunkier and holds the ball better.Since the refs have stopped giving silly free kicks a lot more players are prepared to battle through instead of falling over.Much better games in my opinion, although at times refs do baffle with what they do and don't give.

If he can stay injury free he could have a productive season. Back in 2020 Ruel scored against Stevenage with his weaker Left foot. Good strike. After the game he mentioned he had been working on his left foot under the guidance of Jobi. So he has been working on his left foot for a few years now. Not new, just progress. But his game in general has improved this season. Personally I see the influence of Pigott a major factor. They work well together. The most important aspect for him is to avoid a period where he becomes anonymous. Goals or not, he must be involved. Goals a massive bonus.

As a forward, goals are the only thing you will ultimately be judged on.

I suggest you read and comprehend my comments before posting such a silly post.

He is chunkier and a bit harder to knock off the ball. Until Saturday, when he was taken off as a precaution, I think he was the only player to have played every minute of every league game this season. Testimony to his fitness.

Every game we play we are effectively playing with 10 men if Ruel is in the team. It's time to bench him as he just ain't quite good enough.

I actually thought Ruel done pretty well on the left today and had more shots at goal than Pigott. Pigotts been the biggest let down and he's the more experienced.

A fan in the west Stand proper gave it to him just before he was subbed. He gave a bit of verbal back which carried on once he was subbed. Fun times.

I just read on the dark side another fan clumped the geezer who said it. No need to have a pop, I’d bench him, but I still want him to do well whilst in an orient shirt. Some people are idiots.

I think that's someone else from what I've read. The guy arguing with Ruel was in front of me and nobody clumped him 😂

This thread isn't encouraging for Ruel or the group. Ruel is with us for a reason. Maybe there's a gem in Ruel, maybe he's all we can afford, maybe we can aim for a sell on fee with him. Whatever the reason, I trust the club and support Ruel. I thought McKirdy looked a handful for oppositions but I don't think he'd solve our upfront problems. As for the person giving it to him - clearly he needs a reminder on what's important in life. Ruel is trying and puts in a shift each game. He gets my support for that.
