You need a stronger painkiller Bas,Tramadol is the next step up but it did little for my knee pains.Have had that since June 1974. and it's an opiate. Be very careful with it. Confucius say: ‘Recovery is an acceptance that your life is in shambles and you have to change.’

Confucius is a grade A tosspot that knows fcuk all about anything. Well the one on here anyway. Evolve into someone else, like Weed (Wee'eed) out of Biill & Ben for example. I think we'd all be more appreciative. Some centuries old Chinese philosopher bloke has become a bit naff imo. Even Spotty Dog out of the Wooden Tops would be an improvement.

I’ve read much about Confucius, the genuine one, and he was an interesting person, assuming the stories are accurate. But who really knows I suspect our very own version uses little snippets of his style for amusement and sometimes quite well and funny, sometimes! It’s an easy style to copy, I’ve put on a couple today by way of example. But like so many things in life, interpretation takes over and much of his work can be considered ahead of its time or plain nonsense depending how you choose to read it. I think our latter day person has the same problem. In attempting to be funny and clever he can come across as rude and insulting. I don’t think that is the intention. We are all guilty of poorly chosen words. But I agree, Confucius never really evolved, shame. Confucius say “a man who stands still, gets nowhere”

Long may it continue in my opinion. Whether it’s rubbish or not is of course personal. If that’s your view you are of course welcome to it.

Let me take the thread back to its point of our midfield.
I think Brown is maturing into a lovely player, I thought he’s play yesterday was superb, always wanting the ball, trying to link stuff up and being in the right place at the right time. He is developing really nicely and we do have a championship player on our hands for sure. He will be the successor to Prat’s and we will collect a good transfer fee when the time is right. Really impressed these past two games and hopefully this continues.

Really impressed these past two games and hopefully this continues. I hope he's not poached into the Championship, but arrives there with us in a few years. I thought he was a class act at times last season and he's developed areas of his game as we've risen. He's dominant in midfield. There's still a few mistakes in him but experience will iron(?!) these out. One good example was his bodge of a shot yesterday. It looped and bounced to the side as he sliced it, looking a bit silly. There wasn't a shot on. But some of his passing is sublime and he does it game in game out. I suspect Mad Max will become another developing classic when he can string some games together.
