Liked Pigott years ago when he was scoring for fun. Pleased to have him. What I didn’t realise was his hold up and link up play is very good and he can sure pick out a good pass. And Sotiriou is proving to a far better player because of it. They have the potential to develop a really good partnership. Against Barnsley he had a great game and bar a couple like Cooper and Graham had a real shout for MOTM.
Pigott runs his sock off, as did Kelman and Drinan, but he has dimension to his game that they just don’t have.
But I do feel for Drinan. We got a really good few months out of him but for some reason, maybe injury or lack of game time, he just looked lost out there. Didn’t even notice much in the way of hard running and making a nuisance of himself.
