Are you a DAZN or Now TV / Sky watcher this evening?
Think I'll be going with the Catterall main event but switching between both as the evening goes on.

I couldn't get into neither fight really. Mainly watched Catterall and it wasn't that good a scrap. Measured if anything.

I was at York Hall supporting Sam Gilley who is a Walthamstow lad. He is now commonwealth champion at super welterweight!! Great result and a well deserved win.

It was an absolute shambles to get in, I had a fighters ticket so we had to line up to exchange them for York hall tickets, the idea being it stops us from getting in for free for the rearranged buatsi fight. Then they want to give me seats at the back, I said don’t think so I said put us on the balcony, got told that ain’t happening, but that’s where the fighters family is and I’m part of that. So they ended up giving me ringside seats which were good.
Law v Hennessy was at times a toe to toe event, Mick Jnr was a lot better than I thought he would be, Laws had to step up after his loss previously and I thought he won the fight by 2 rounds however, cos of who juniors dad is I thought he might get robbed, but fair play to the judges who scored it correctly in awarding laws that win. Tough little so and so as well, like he said after I need to get fit, do a proper training camp and I won’t let anyone down.
Sam’s fight was for me pretty one sided affair, I had him winning by 10 rounds, dropped greene in the 5th probably could and should have stopped him earlier. But so pleased for him, he has won the southern area title at welter, is the current English title holder at super welter which he won at Aston villla ground and I was there for that too. Now he is commonwealth title holder at super welter and hopefully he can get a shot at the British title now. Can’t see pretty boy staying at that level so hopefully could be a vacant belt to fight for.
I was in front of chamerblins family and was talking to the, beforehand and asked is he peeed off with Ben Shalom? Cos in the presser he said to Ben twice stop lying! Pretty strong words to say to your promoter. They said he was upset with him, but also went on to say let’s see what happens once he wins tonight. I’ve seen lawal fight previously and he is strong and powerful, but he is a head hunter and last night showed up that he didn’t have a plan b the only plan was to blow Issac out the ring and when that failed he was lost. I thought Isaac boxed superbly working behind the jab and using combinations to keep scoring lots of points. I had Isaac winning by 6 rounds and for lawal to come again which he will do he has to work behind a jab otherwise a boxer will always be avoiding the huge swings he was putting in all night. Pleased for chamberlain as it was probably the last chance saloon for him, now he’s British and commonwealth champ at cruiserweignt.
I did speak to Robert Smith last night who is in charge of the BBBOC and I said to him it’s been a shambles of an event from boxxer, he agreed and added that at least the undercard got saved and the boxers paid. Fair point I guess. As he said it’s about the boxers and all he cares about is the boxers otherwise their is no boxing.
So Orient in the day, boxing in the night and it was a good day overall across both sporting events. Got home about 1.30 this morning to my wife moaning at me that our son would not have a good game today as he would be too tired. Well mum was wrong he scored, played well and we won! Decent sporting weekend!,

Sounds like a busy day.
Fair point from Robert Smith about the event still going on though.
I have my doubts about Shalom. I really want to like him but he seems to be trying too hard to please everyone and coming up short on all fronts.

I think this shambles he has presided over will do for him at Sky. He has pulled out of a few purse bids as well, something isn't right that's for sure.

So it's been mentioned.
It's hard to work out the truths in boxing, as it is, from the outside anyway, a generally corrupt sport.
That's not a slant on the fighters, or the promoters, or the TV companies. I don't really know where the problem lies.
But unlike football which is a meritocracy, in boxing nobody really seems to deserve what they get.
