Went onto website and only tickets available are in North Stand. And I need to bring a child along. Hoping I can find a friend with a spare otherwise I will be like the kiddy catcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang on Saturday afternoon. Lollipops!

Worth keeping an eye on the ticketing site for any season ticket returns for the game.
I got a ticket for the Reading game at the last minute so don't despair!

Keep trying. I’m putting my two season card tickets up for resale tomorrow. Frigging trains or tubes make my journey near impossible. Getting right on my tits. A long journey made worse by transportation issues. 😡😡😡😡😡

It does seem like that but maybe we just don't find out when we're away, unless away is in London.
Conversely we don't always know about the main line or motorways when we're at home.

I use the main line to Waterloo. Strike days, works on the line, bus replacement services. Even when none of this happen there are diversion routes or a fragmented service due to lack of drivers. And often short trains so forget getting a seat, stand for 75 minutes to Waterloo. Nightmare. frogging useless. And bloody expensive. I try to book in advance to take advantage of cheaper fares, but cannot because all too often the advice is check before travelling. Then the odd tube disruption. Salt in the wounds, the Shrewsbury game was all clear, then the sodding tube train broke down outside Stratford. convinced Mrs dOh to get a season ticket this year. That’s worked well. Near £100 round trip for us each time which is ok if the journey was ok, but it’s a real effort. People wonder why I get pizzed when I see little effort from the players at times! So missing the Oxford game, put my tickets up for resale so hope someone else gets to see the game.

Checking London clubs at home, Orient, QPR and Arsenal are not directly affected as they are on Central, Piccadilly and Victoria lines. AFC Wimbledon somewhat impacted by District line outage, though possible to get there via Northern line. Crystal Palace impacted by Overground outage. However plenty of people would use the cancelled services as it is rare to get anywhere without one change. Luckily I can walk to Brisbane Road.

I begrudge the £3 return on the underground and walk That written, I need to be in Aberdeen for a day next week and managed to get a ticket for £65 one way. Seven hours. Like catching Eurostar to Avignon. I would have got a train back, but I needed to be back in London on Saturday am for a flight to Amsterdam, so I am flying back Friday evening. Ah my jet setting retirement

Ah my jet setting retirement For me the cost of the season tickets is the cheapest part of the match day experience but our first season back in league 1 was a special thing so went for it. On a positive note, the rail strikes have now been called off so assuming not too many leaves on the line, maintenance or drivers shortage I may get back to some normality. But at 75 my energy and patience for the journey are reducing rapidly. And Mrs DOh as not been overly impressed being a season card holder either, starting to realise how tough and tiring the journey is and questioning the value for money. And surprised I’ve done it for so long. A nice meal out in a restaurant seems much more of an attractive proposition. Hard to argue against at times. on a slightly different note, easy to see why I get irritated when some on here question my loyalty and offer up silly comments. I’ve paid my dues with time and money for longer than some have been born, and still do.

I’ve paid my dues with time and money for longer than some have been born, and still do. I work on the basis that my main expense at a football match should be what I spend in the bars. Last time out it was £48 for match tickets and a combined spend of over £70 in the bars. Nigel Travis will be pleased we had a couple of pre-match pints in the east stand. Even my recent trips to Gillingham and Charlton resulted in a higher bar spend than tickets + travel I am always impressed by the dedication of some football fans who travel long distances for home games. I remember talking to someone who came from Norwich for home games at an evening game who knew he would have to dash at final whistle to get last train home. I will do the odd away trip and next weekend I am going to Amsterdam for the Netherlands v Ireland international but they are one offs And my trip to Amsterdam is only £70 return.

Unless I do a convoluted route getting to Leyton for me is either via the jubilee or Waterloo and City the latter doesn’t run on Saturday any more ever as far as I know, was always my preferred route. So always 1 change and a long walk between lines. Used to drive years ago but the M25 was too unpredictable and parking not too easy. Tbh can’t be bothered with driving now, prefer the train (when they run Without issues). Often fans of other teams travelling and enjoy a chat. We really are a bunch of moaners.
