I like the pop songs thread, but anything newer you’d care to share with the audience?
For me DUA Lipa and Christine and the Queens

All 7 million King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard albums. Anything by Goat. Most stuff by Idles. Bright Green Field by Squid. Sometimes I Might Be Introvert by Little Simz. Off the top of my head.

Fontaines DC - Dogrel. Well the first side of it, second side not quite as good. Suede’s latest LP, Autofiction is very good. Wet Leg. Other than that not too much, I am too set in my ways.

Young Fathers - So much energy, must be great to watch live. Had no idea they’ve been around for years.

It might be a little longer in time, but not much, but Gregory Porter has impressed me.

Oops, I’m really impressed with Olivia Dean. I could listen to her all day. And she’s a local girl from Walthamstow.

This record is slightly out of your 5 year limit, but I listen to The Nashville Sound by Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit often. It has strong and timeless songs. Cumberland Gap, If We were Vampires, Last of My Kind, Hope the High Road and all the rest. Its not just country; it’s straight rock and roll despite its name. Two of my favorite songs are Speed Trap Town and Palmetto Rose from his previous album from 2015. He makes great great music.

Fender are selling Jason Isbell Telecasters, always a sign of recognition of an artiste's contributions.

Rodrigo's guitar concerto.A concerto I am sure some will have heard but not know what it is.Perfect to listen to on a hot sunny day. There is a piece of music played on the vibes that I have had in my head for years.I still cannot find it after many you tube searches. It is a well known piece and used for many situations including adverts. It may have been used for Tony Harts tv art programme for children.Any suggestions. It is an earworm I don't know the title of.

I've had a listen and recognised some of the names, good stuff. Big surprise for me were the Polish duo, reckon Redshank might like their music.

Didn't particularly like the thrash metal from KGLW, the latest offering was a total contrast though, but really enjoyed the latest GOAT album Medicine. Reminded me a bit of prog rock. Thanks, interesting selection.

Fisch, I can’t let the week end without mentioning that Gibson’s YouTube Channel featured Jason Isbell three months ago. It’s completely guitar geeky and well worth the time. He’s a collector. It’s got a part where he shows off his 1958 Fender Stratocaster with the late1957 specs. Two tone sunburst body and v neck. It’s a fun video. I watched a CBS interview where he shows off his 1959 Les Paul. He’s gotten an HBO documentary too. I’m going to say that my roots say “he’s gettin above his raisin” but he’s my guy and God bless. He’s brought a lot of happiness to me and my house and I’m glad he’s happy. I saw him in the heat in Columbia in bad shape, and in a record store in Greenville with maybe five other people not too long ago.

I'd not heard of him at all until l saw the signature Tele, l guess l should have a look at him via YouTube. I wanted a Brent Mason Tele but at $2,500 in auto primer l thought it was a bit too rich for me.
