I know Muse - Hysteria is older than 5years but I only heard it for the first time a few days ago and it’s just fantastic The bass line drives it so well the voice and guitar is perfect for the song too

That was a little further south, part of Brooklyn Court. We were in a newer block, second flat along from the junction with Traps Hill, opposite the old Methodist(?) church which was next to Fine Fare.

Testing the memory here… Would that have been close to Dwyers the newsagents? I used to do paper rounds there.

They used to have a goodish selection of Airfix aircraft kits as I recall. There was also a ladies' hairdresser a paint and wallpaper shop, and Hinds the jeweller in that same block. On the whole, happy days - but not so good for the Os...

Music? Nothing since December 1971 I'm afraid. Benny Hill and Ernie. Love an amusing song, Bernard Crbbins, Billy Williams (When Father Painted the Parlour), Flanders & Swan etc.

Have you been catching up on Jago Hazzard Fisch, the video about Loughton Station is particularly interesting.I think Loughton Station is the most beautiful station and platform on the underground system.Pleased to say it is Grade 2 listed.Hainault is the ugliest, not helped by the guano under the double ugly bridge. You are Croatia? to my England.

As quite often happens on this forum, the discussion often drifts away from the original thread subject which is in this instance ''Music you’ve been impressed by in the last 5 years'' !!
