Given how that game started, a draw is a fair result. And a much improved performance. Decent game too. Wigan’s defence didn’t like being ran at but alas we couldn’t exploit that

On the train home now and fingers finally thawed out! As mrb says Wigan defensively were not great and more than once Archibald in particular unsettled them. Going forward though they were a handful. The lad Humphreys was particularly effective. Not sue if it was 5 or 6 yellow cards for us today but really needs to be a greater emphasis on this by RW - could easily come back to haunt us as the season progresses.

A point more than 5 of the teams below us so, not so bad.
I thought that we'd get beat today so I'm happy with the draw against one of the better teams.
Another point against Rovers on Tuesday will do for me.
I mentioned Exeter a while back after we'd beaten them at their place, discounting their next match beating Cheltenham at home, what the hell has happened to them?

I guess the missed penalty and Forde's miss in front of an open goal balance each other out. A fair result. Disappointing to concede like that though. El Miz, of all people, flat footed and let the player skate past him.
Who was that unfamiliar player who came on late? Somebody said George something?

Really enjoyable game to watch Wigan are a very good team attacking wise but not great defensively. We got out of jail with them missing the penalty in the first minute and Connor is not a right back IMO.Shaqs goal was a beauty and was impressed by him all game he ran for everything and was my player of the match for us.Id like to see us play a back four and play Galbraith in midfield along with Idris and Brown.Nice to see Agyei get on and also nice to see Russell Slade.Up the O's

A lot more purpose and directness today but never really looked like any of the crosses or corners were going to lead anywhere. Have to think all the yellow cards were tactical to stop them breaking, which worked at a cost. Thought Turns was good, but urgent need for more goals if this isn't going to get a bit worrying with regard to the table.

I haven’t rated the O’s team selection or tactics much over the last few games and thought that maybe Richie had lost the plot. Same yesterday with keeping Cooper on for so long despite being dreadful and the obvious weak spot that Wigan continuously exploited. There was an amazing difference in the last part of the game once Hunt, Moncur and Dan were on. We actually looked way better balanced and we’re pulling Wigan all over the place. For once I felt that unlike my normal gloom that we’re going to throw this away at the end that if anyone was going to get a winner it was going to be us.

Pigott blatantly held back their guy because he knew Theo and Ed were stranded upfield and our left side had no defence against Wigan's breakaway.

I dressed very sensibly yesterday due to the cold weather, from my spaceman inner socks, long johns, two thermal vests, shirt, even a pullover which I hate wearing and is taken off as soon as I get home.Orient scarf, overcoat and forage cap. Also Barbour boots.the only part of me that was cold was my knees that had almost seized up.Took me up to my dotage to realise better to look silly than be cold.Took a long time to dress, even longer to undress, then straight into bed with nothing on as I cannot bear wearing any clothing in bed. I was left with the memory of a very good match to ponder on.

Red I will get back to you re the computer question, just been busy sorry.
Have you thought about getting some deep heat and rubbing that into your knees before you leave home? It might have a whiff but you'll be warm in your knee area.

It might have a whiff but you'll be warm in your knee area. I am one of those strange people that cannot stand the smell of a lot of things and those rub ins are amongst those.I don;t suppose it will warm the metal up which to my mind is the problem.I also wear the sport bandage knee supports.Just keep rubbing the knees with my hands which looks a bit wierdie. My advice is not to have knee replacements.I was told that by a lady physio at KG Goodmayes when I was in my mid sixties.
