I just think we are missing that Smyth type player that has the abikity to create something out of nothing. Lifts the whole team. When RW said he was the best player in the league last year he wasnt wrong. We have players coming back from injury that can filk that role. We will be fine. Agree with you about Smyth. Yet to see anywhere near enough of Agyei ( who I take it you are alluding to) to make any judgement on whether or not he is able to fill that role. What I saw was Agyei willing to run at defenders and take them on. Appreciate that it was little more than a cameo and, of course, that I so want him to be that player so may be convincing myself, but I liked what I saw. With a fully fit squad, I think we are strong.

Unbeaten in two, we've got to be pleased with the point. We've had some bad luck with odd goals losing us points, this time it's gone the other way. Richie has changed the team around again. No Galbraith or Moncur at all. Resting Piggott and Cooper was a good idea because both struggled mentally on Saturday. So it looks like he's built a squad that's capable of a mid to low table position come May. Most of us would be happy with that having seen the quality brought to Brisbane Road by Pompey, Wigan, Oxford, Barnsley and, dare I say it, Stevenage. We're picking up points at the right times; no long losing runs as yet. Agyei might come good, he's only played 25 minutes, so who knows. I really think the defence is starting to come good, especially Turns and Happe. Cooper did well until last week and should return to form. So that's good news. I think we're quite hard to beat. Unfortunately we can't win because we don't score enough. I really like Piggott's quality but he fluffs up the golden chances. Ruel is a bit flash in the pan. Forde same, too much time doing nothing and the off-sides. Drinan can't score. Moncur and Galbraith seem unflavoured now. Sanders doesn't seem much above the pedestrian and, unfortunately, I reckon Idris is well overrated. Agyei has not been properly tested yet. The only real hope is Theo, who continues to impress. Moncur and Galbraith seem unfavoured - not so. Wellens said post match that they were unavailable through illness and injury. In that case "unflavoured" was appropriate then.
