I was born in Kent,perhaps that is why I am so ugly. I used to live in Kent back in the day. The locals new you were an intruder because they would ask are you are a Man of Kent or a Kentish man? I hadn't a scuby what they were on about. They would inform you with a smirk it's which side of the Medway you were born. |

I was raised in Thurrock and moved to Kent when I married fifty years ago. Sure Kent has some horrible parts - (Gillingham, Chatham, Sheerness) but it has some nice places, countryside and coast as well.

Kent reminds me of Canvey Island they both have good spots and bad, it's just that you have look a lot harder in either place to find anything good |

Chatham has one of the best South Asian restaurants this side of the Khyber Pass. (Was recently voted the best restaurant in Kent anyway). I go there every time I'm back in the UK now. |
