When did we become such a poor team. Currently would be relegated from National league. When our players got injured obviously. We're a bottom half League One team. Nothing more, nothing less. With injured players, we're a struggling League One team. We are playing a non-league team, not a Div 1 team.

You can trace the lack of creativity back to the Burton game when Jordan Graham got injured on the 28th October.
It's no coincidence that since then the chances have dried up and the goals are even harder to come by as we weren't a high scoring bunch anyway.
Aside from the creativity, Graham provided balance both backwards and forwards and side to side. We're currently too one dimensional through Theo. Mark Theo out the game and we won't score.
That's why I've not got too involved through November and into December. I know what we need, you know what we need, Richie knows what he needs. But we're not in a transfer window and we're pretty stifled in what we can do.
I could come on here calling players out for not being good enough but that doesn't really help things. It's been mentioned to death the difference between success and failure at this level.

We are playing a non-league team, not a Div 1 team. We're playing a team that have substantial resources and players for the level they're playing at. Chesterfield would be at least League One with their current team if it wasn't for the archaic structure of the National League and how well others have done in the last few years. They've already beaten a much better League One team than us this season so it really shouldn't surprise you that we're losing. That said, Chesterfield have been on top but not created much themselves and only have our classy own goal in their favour.

It's on ITV. Paul McCallum scored Right. Just noticed the itv sport logo in the corner of my totally legitimate stream. All above board here. Guess I'm just gonna watch this with the Os commentary over the top 🤷 McCallum just scored the winner for Eastleigh

Good player, yes but the problems are more deep seated than that imho.

Not so much the reliance on one player, more circumstantial. It'd be the same if it was Archibald injured instead of Graham.
We've got three top players out wide. Graham, Archibald and Agyei are plenty good enough for this level. Take one away we'd probably cope, take two away and we'll struggle.
The only time when we've had two of the three fit and firing in October we were doing really well.
Not being able to attack puts too much pressure on the defence and we end up losing by the odd goal. Like today.

One of the worst performances of the season

We will try hard, we will struggle to create opportunities due to our well documented injuries in wide positions. We will not score. Which nobody should be surprised about. At best a 0-0. Realistically, 3-0 to Chesterfield. Wish I had your sunny optimistic outlook. Called it for you. Maybe not the score but you get the jist of it. Most predictable result since the Lincoln game.
