So much depression and overthinking of things at the moment.
A good listen as ever and made the treadmill more pleasant but my word we all need to relax a bit. We'll be crap until we can make things happen in January.
We're not adventurous and scoring goals quite simply because our winger was injured before the start of the season, his replacement is now out for the season and our only remaining attacking wide player is Archibald who simply can't carry it all on his own.
And now our strikers, of which 2 of the main 4, who just by watching you can see simply aren't good enough for this level. Plus it would also seem that 2 of them are now injured.
So the team is basically picking itself. Richie isn't picking the team. He's dictated to by who's available, not who he'd like to play in what position.
We're even trying to rush Agyei back which concerns me.
Richie is a top manager, but he isn't a miracle worker.
The fact is that we aren't gonna score goals against Derby, Cheltenham, Charlton, Wycombe and Cambridge in the next few weeks because we aren't good enough in the attacking department. We might nick a goal here and there but with so many injuries we're snookered.
It's not doom and gloom though. It's football, let us ride it out. Remember last December and January when we were abysmal. That was when we played the better teams and had injuries too. Just the wheels of football rolling on.
Forgot to say it was good to hear Christian back on last week too 👍🏻

Clearly injuries and the fact that “ 2 of the main 4” (strikers) ……. aren’t good enough for this level” have caused issues. But, imho there are some things Richie could do/ have done that might have helped: 1. Play Sotiriou purely up front where he is most effective. 2. Maintain Archibald as a winger where he is most effective 3. Give Galbraith a run in the team 4. Play TJ at wing back where he was outstanding under Jackett rather than as part of a back three. 5. Give Pigott a chance in the “ no 10” role that both he and Wellens have previously stated is his preferred position. Could be none of these will bring about any improvement of course but given the recent displays I would have thought some change is required .👍

We all got ideas how to improve but none of us including me are actually football managers or coaches at pro level with any data to say we actually know what we are talking about
1. My view @ 70 plus having watched orient since 1961 is to play all players in their strongest position irrespective of the opposition
2. Notwithstanding injuries and suspensions play each player in the same role focusing on repetition - ignore that some are versatile and are judged to be able to play in multiple positions.
3. Play Theo as a left winger not an inverted right winger ( hoping he can shoot coming in with his left foot). He has the tenacity power athleticism to surge down the left and get crosses in.
4. Duplicate Theo style objective in the right with someone either current staff or bring a new person in
In a congested opposition half due to our slow build up passing there is no opportunity to weave through and going down the wings overcomes that problem

Roper and Terry spoke the best in this episode, the rest well sounds like they’ve given up as fans. Madness.

Just wanted to throw in that it isn't this particular show that is just negative. The Outlook and forums are quite the same at the moment.
What's happened to the LO Down show?

I’ve thought the same about the LO Down show. I like it as much as the other two and it provides some interesting perspective, and sometimes a more optimistic one. It would be nice to hear the show routinely again.

The club have said there is no money available and we need to wheel and deal but that's not easy. And the club aren't exactly quick out of the blocks when it comes to transfer business

Bang on. It isn't going to be easy.
And one of those that I thought might be shown the door is now injured.
It's going to be hard. Very hard. Difficult.
