Nicely written.
We just don't have the options available or in depth to play the way RW wants to. This part will be funny as most of you know I don't like the way Stevenage play however, I can't thought how their back 3 line up, Pierreginna is out left the monster is in the middle and some other geezer out right. Now analyse how those 3 line up and the left and right side are very wide which squeezes the spaces out down the wings, contrast that to our three which are very narrow and allows space out wide. There are pluses and minuses to both ways, but I think Evans has it right in his 3 keep them wide, stop the space and attack anything that moves!
I'd like to see Theo further forwards, which could happen naturally if you push the left and right centre halves wider without any compromise to the space he would leave behind him as he moves forwards. If you think back to when we played them we had zero room to play in as the wing backs we're pressed up high to stop ours moving forwards ably supported by what was behind them knowing they are covered if it breaks down. We don't have the cover so theo is reluctant and or is instrutted to push on when safe to do so. Contrast in tactics.
It's evolution, and in time we will get it right and in time we will challenge but in-between we will have ups and downs. Progression is moving forwards and we are progressing.
