Early evening yesterday I watched 5 long minutes of the corniest film I have ever seen.It was called Rhubarb.I felt ashamed of myself for watching it so long but sometimes these films mesmerise because you cannot believe it would be made.

Rhubarb! Did it get any raspberries in their awards? Or was it as flat as a pancake. Walking on eggshells with this post I know. Or treading in custard. But the OP was a peach and deserves an appropriate reply. 👍 Had my chips, egg on my face. There must be more buns, sorry puns.

The so called film was not worth a raspberry or a pun, almost hurting my head thinking of what I saw.I would rather have a Southend United season ticket than watch the full film. So,as they said in Monty Python, this comment has a message and the message is beware!

I've only seen the sequel, 'Confessions of a Rhubarb Triangle'. It was very good 👍

Is that the same mold as the film “The Plank” where everyone just says rhubarb?

The comedian with the handlebars moustache too, can’t recall his name? Thought that was ever so funny. Jimmy Edwards ?

I once watched 5 minutes of one of the Twilight films. Hard to imagine anything more corny than that. It would've been greatly improved by replacing all the dialogue with just the word rhubarb.

Yes,but it is cheating on a round of golf with Eric Sykes with a Hitler moustache.Must sign off my head is starting to hurt again.

Well look at it this way, we're both laughing at each other, so can't be all that bad a film came out about thirty years ago and we're still talking about it

Another silent-ish film is “at the seaside”. Or something like that. Ronnie Barker, Ronnie Corbett, Madge Hingle plus others. They say nothing but a few mumbles. And for me it’s very funny. They rely on the story and their skills as comedy actors.

Have you seen the North Koreans singing Always look on the bright side of life? well worth a watch.
