I used to watch it an age ago because sport was a rare thing.Used to love the womens hocky match at Wembley with 100,000 screaming girls.I believe the umpire had a special whistle.

Haven’t watched it for many years. So probably a good thing if something better gets made as a result of its demise.

Went downhill donkeys years ago. The bbc is way past its sellby date and the quicker the licence tax is scrapped the better. And we are not evening talking about the Nonxxxx in their organisation.

Went downhill once they got rid of Barker, Tufnell and Dawson and replaced them with unknowns (for me) and some non sportsman at the helm.

I remember watching QoS years ago. Always sad when a long running show finishes, but I guess the the fact that the general response seems to be “was that still going!?” kind of says it all.

Paddy McGuinness was terrible, an absolute joke as the presenter. The BBC got rid of people with real knowledge and personalities and replaced them with nonentities and guests who were z lists or unknowns. A really good programme ruined by the BBC’s ageist attitude. A case of Go woke Go Broke !!

Never really watched it much after the David Coleman and even David Vine days. It seemed to be more about the ‘personalities’ than any sporting knowledge. It got too laddish and cringeworthy for me.

Very entertaining and informative in its day. I remember we never went out to play football on the local fields when it was on. I particularly liked the bit where the boxes would be chosen and then opened to reveal an extraordinarily well-hidden photo. Emilyn Hughes was a Great.
