Can't predict this one folks. From a BWFC perspective, we're at a critical point in the season. Following a really good run playing some decent football, it all fell to pieces last Monday when we simply didn't turn up against Pompey - our usual passing game fell to pieces and we got punished. We were hoping for a reaction and a return to form on Saturday against Bristol Rovers, but that also went sideways with our best defender and captain Rico Santos getting sent off early in the game for a professional foul after a cock up and although the ten men showed some fight towards the end, the game was lost. To top it off, our already depleted strike force was threatened even more with a calf injury to Bodvarsson who is now touch and go for Saturday. Even though we'll be without our captain for this game, we'll be able to put out a decent side but the bigger worry is about our form which has dropped off recently and may not be that easy to find again. But... ...on our day we can play some good stuff. Normally go 352, push the WBs on and try to attack all the time. It will be a makeshift back 3, but the guys coming in are not bad - perhaps weakest on our left as our main LCB is out for the season and Evatt has experimented there trying to find good cover for a natural left sided defender but with mixed results. Plenty of choice in midfield but our recent loss of form has meant that the WBs haven't been as effective and we've not shown the quality we had playing through defences. It'll be interesting to see who Evatt picks in midfield, probably Thomason, Maghoma or Dempsey, Sheehan or Morley and Dacres-Cogley on the right with either Williams or Iredale on the left. Up front it's likely to be Charles and Adeboyejo or Bodvarsson if fit. Two strikers will chase everything down until they're knackered and then get subbed late in the game is the usual idea. They're all usually decent on the ball and try to play through the press - which amounts to high risk football - great if it comes off, but when our movement and passing isn't up to scratch it can be disastrous as we've found out recently - and with Santos out Evatt might want to take less of a chance on leaving the back 3 exposed. Whilst we're having this wobble, it's impossible to say how we'll play because Evatt might change tactics and it all comes down to whether or not we can find something like the form we had last month and produce a decent performance. I see your results have been mixed of late - is that because of form, injuries, dodgy refs, something else? Interested in knowing how you see the current O's - and players to look out for. Any thoughts?

Our game is possession based with strikers that prefer not to score on a regular basis.
Our main threat is OG's and deflections.
On current form I would say Shaq Forde is the one to look out for.

Why is Santos playing at our level? He is a cut above league 1 standard by an absolute mile.

On our day we can compete with those at the top end of this division, but although we get into good positions and create chances, we canβt always take them.

Why is Santos playing at our level? He is a cut above league 1 standard by an absolute mile. Yes and no. We had doubts when we first signed him from Barnet, but he's done more than enough since to have plenty of credit in the bank.
He is strong and quick but in the last couple of weeks he's just not been at his usual standard. The Pompey lad gave him a real physical battle - something he usually dominates but not in that game.
Plus he has got the occasional error in him and because Evatt depends on him so much to hold the fort whilst the others push on, they tend to be in sharp focus. There have been rumours about higher clubs coming in for him, but for whatever reason we've just not had the offers. Anyhoo he's banned for this match so it won't be an issue.
We did agree to sell George Thomason who is developing nicely for a substantial fee in the summer, but the lad decided he wanted to stay with us as he's come through the ranks. Good lad, loyal to the club, but a bit "overenthusiastic" at times - managed to pick up yellow cards in seven consecutive appearances earlier in the season

Made me laugh that. I did notice you got a couple of deflections last week - but at least you had shots on goal and without them it wouldn't have happened - and from the little I've seen, Forde is always willing to have a pop if the opportunity arises.
We also try to play possession-based football but one minor criticism is that we are a bit shot shy and can be overelaborate in front of goal - trying to play like City with League 1 standard players has it's downside and Wanderers fans screaming "shoot" for half the match is about par for the course this season. Another thing is that for a long time (all of last season and the start of this) we just couldn't buy a goal from set pieces - so the manager had a bet with the players and agreed to put money out of his own pocket into the Xmas party fund. As if by magic we started scoring from corners and FKs ...

Seeing as it's nearly Xmas, do you expect to bring more travelling fans than usual?
It's a designated "community day" so tickets are Β£10 for adults and a fiver for kids and old buggers.

Ditto for the O's if "minor" was replaced with major.
