Forde is having his best game yet. Taking on his man and often beating him.

Is this going to be like Oxford, so close but too far?

I thought Forde has the equaliser then. Great diving defensive header. Don't think their keeper would've got to it.

Sadly we were blown away the first 10 minutes and that has decided the game. Really must question the preparation and set up of the team and/ or the players understanding of it. Decent effort in the second half though but unfortunately too little, too late.🫤

FFS Prats. What a tame tap. We've could've clinched it on the last kick of the game.

Great fightback. Ritchie will be delighted even if you no longer receive the points for a second half victory

As someone has already said, we didn't expect anything from this game. I think we got a great boost from it. The way the lads didn't give up at 0-3 (easily done) and then fought back. They could have equalised, they could have won! Not to be. But I think the team, Richie and all the supporters can take this back to Brisbane Road on Boxing Day and give LOFC a fantastic Christmas present by stuffing Charlton. Great fight back. Not to be. But strength to draw from it. Well done O's.

Let’s hope we can play like the second half against Charlton

Let’s hope we can play like the second half against Charlton And not the first ten minutes like that against any team.

As far as a loss goes this ain't too bad. I think this is the first time after a loss that I don't feel totally dejected.

Perhaps Bolton relaxed a little too much and then couldn't get back on it and ran into problems. As Ollie Buck said, the 2nd half was mostly irrelevant.

I never felt so non optimistic after a win last week. I never felt so optimistic after a loss this week. The first ten minutes, well, WTF was that? So many mistakes. I predicted a 3-0 loss today but to end up 3-2 with the second half performance as we had - I'm very proud of the boys (I'll forget the first ten minutes). The boys had fight and they're playing for RW. For me, things changed when RW put Ruel as a man marker on Toal, Galbraith doing the job in the second half. Plus, the addition of Pratley in the second half to strengthen the midfield battle. The quickness of the ball we played second half was refreshing. Moving quickly wide and then getting a cross in. Makes a difference, don't it?
The question I now have is, why do we play absolutely s***e against s***e teams (last week for instance) but can play well against the more talented teams (not all good teams but you get my drift). I liked the team selection today.
I called out Forde a few games ago and I'm pleased to call him out again for a good performance. I was enjoying him take on his player.
Optimisation is high again after that second half showing. My next game is Cambridge (tip, take you binoculars 😕).

Sometimes you have to say "A win is a win." (Cheltenham) This doesn't necessarily work the other way around. In a sense we can say a loss is a win today.

I agree the score was significant but as a performance, l think it was mostly irrelevant, there was no way Bolton would've played so poorly if they were not 3-0 ahead. I think there is nothing about the second half we can draw encouragement from.
