Can somebody please translate what he is saying. he speaks too fast, too technical and with a slight northern accent.I think he was saying we were the better team apart from the first 15 minutes and we can afford diddly squat in January.

Excellent interview. A bit surprised about going up a year too early, but we did struggle against some of the better sides last season (notably one beginning with S). He is bang on about needing to pick up points in the next two games. I also liked the stuff about how players are coming on and carrying on the role that their predecessor (in the sense of the guy substituted) played. His example the excellent Lester and his replacement Dan Agyei. It seems that we have an improvingly capable squad. Nice to see Darren P getting another good workout. One can't legislate for a "rabbits in headlights" situation. But he's again spot on when he says we have to give the younger members experience otherwise they'll never get there. I'm encouraged yet again. He's very positive and that's a good sign for all of us.

Good interview. The bit about promotion a year earlier than planned, is about how you change the squad from league 2 level to league 1. You can’t move everyone on at the same time and another summer window would have given us the opportunity to go shopping for more quality at the higher level. I don’t think he’s complaining, just pointing out why it’s more difficult for us to compete this season.

Barely noticed him say it tbh, but being of the (possibly controversial?) opinion that we won L2 without being the best team in it, I think you're right. We didn't have anywhere near a L1-ready squad after Smyth and Vigs left. That said, gotta give the club credit for building a squad that's good enough to stay up. I'm not sure we could get promoted from L2 this season had we not managed it last time, so we got promoted at the right time imo. We'll need to be a lot stronger next season though cos some very good and well-funded teams will be coming up.

Look, I like Richie and would hate to see him go but I am sorry the first half debacle was down to his selection of 3 strikers and only 2 midfielders against their 4. That’s the reason we were overrun. When he changed it at half time we were a different team.

When he changed it at half time we were a different team. whilst he is still learning on the job and it would appear he got his tactics and selections wrong, isn't it a sign of a good manager that admits the mistakes, corrects them and gives us a fighting chance? By all accounts we did enough to draw and an even more unlikely chance to win it at the end by all accounts. Agree with what you say, just hope he learns from these types of situations.
