I'm pleased we won because the haters wanted to be out in full force tonight and already had their scripts written about how good Alfie May is, why we haven't beaten a team in the top 12 and why can't we compete with the likes of Charlton, etc. Mungo do you actually think there are real haters? That's right, the bedwetters were gearing up for some pee pee action but the Grenadian legend popped up. Keep the faith

The forum is a lot busier throughout the week following a defeat than a victory. I suppose everyone likes a comparison and as humans I suppose we tend to compare ourselves where we like to be rather than where we are. So we shouldn't really be comparing ourselves to the likes of the top 10/12. That's where we'd like to be. We should be comparing ourselves to the bottom 12 as that's where we want to get out of. It's where we are.

They didn't like that the players didn't acknowledge them and they haven't taken to the manager at all. Its not a happy camp at all right now.

I believe we're now the fifty seventh best side in England. Not bad, eh?

Thor, I agree with a lot that you said but come on sotirou offered nothing for the second game running. It was forde who chased everything and worked his socks off, sotirou contributed nothing. A game where both sides hardly put a pass together, where the officials got virtually every decision as to who put the ball out wrong. The defenders gave very little away and pratley and as usual archibald and el maz had decent games but the turning point was when Agayi was introduced.

It was a bit like the other Orient forum for dick heads .

Head to 5.30 and watch the last min, I saw 1 player with a couple more behind him who didn't come near the rest didn't bother. Then listen to what they sing to the players and then finally the manager. I'd say the atmosphere was toxic.

I don't disagree with what you say, but the point I was making about Ruel was all the off ball work he was doing, it might mot have been pretty, we might not have created anything from it, but it's that graft that can inspire others to join in, that gets the rest working hard and Ruel did work hard. I'd bet his stats today showed the most he's run all season, the most sprints he's done all season and the most pressure he's applied all season. Nothing exciting as such, but needed from a team perspective.

Sotiriou's job was to run and then run some more and don't stop under any cirumstances. This he did, led the press, unselfish player, he sacrificed his own glory for the sake of the team. Pigot take note.

Thor, I didn’t see anything like that from him , just shows that people can get a different perspective from watching the same match. From my view he barely touched the ball and didn’t do anywhere near either forde or archibalds running. I would much prefer ditching him and playing an extra midfielder.

In London for Christmas so this was my first (and probably last) visit to Brisbane Road this season. Was a great day out and I just got in.
Didn't think we were very good but we had our moments and Charlton were absolutely dire. Was nice to see a team even worse at set pieces than we are -- especially since the lino kept giving them dodgy corners.
I won't complain too much about the officiating though cos one thing that hasn't been mentioned here is the blatant penalty we should've conceded in the first couple of minutes. Happened right in front of me. Massive let off.
Notable performances:
CBs dominated the game on both sides but only Omar and Dan seemed able to put the ball on the ground and start transitions. From what I saw of the Bolton game, I wouldn't have started Omar today, but he was exceptional and deserved his goal. Charlton's absence of a press might've made it easy for him though.
Our fullbacks were also very good defensively, but TJ's attacking talents still seem to have deserted him. Kept playing through balls to nobody.
Thought Galbraith was quite poor. Started brightly but then just resorted to flicking the ball behind him and hoping someone else would pick it up. Seemed a bit panicked.
Theo saw a lot of the ball but flattered to deceive I thought. Was on a hiding to a stupid yellow card all game, which he duly got.
Ruel worked hard, which he needed to, cos it looked like his boots were made of concrete. Think he might benefit from a couple of games out.
Shaq was good I thought. A couple of heavy touches but his movement is getting better, you can see his confidence growing, and I'm enjoying seeing him develop. Whisper it, but maybe we won't need a 9 in Jan after all?
Stating the obvious here but Agyei changed the game. Can't wait for him to be able to start regularly. Looks an absolute gem of a player.
Was Alfie May even on the pitch? 🤷

Charlton known bedwetters. In fact they soaked the mattress so much they got Curbishley sacked and never been back in the top flight again.

His job wasn't to touch, his job was to harry them non stop, don't let them settle, break them up, force them to make mistakes, did they score, nope, job done. He was that inefectual he was so bad, didn't even get a worthwhile effort on target they didn't sub him, wonder why.

Billericayo, sorry but I disagree with you. The roll you just described was adequately taken by pratley and el miz not sotirou , his role was to link with the midfield and initiate attacks and get himself in the box. He had a very poor game and in my view made minimal effort, and I as suggested wondered why he wasn’t substituted and moncour brought on. I can’t believe you are suggesting that a footballers roll is not to touch the ball.

OMG they are going bonkers over there. They want the manager out, they want Scott out, they want virtually all the players he's brought in out! It seems the manager has lost the dressing room, well according to them he has. I think I read they've had 18 managers since Curbishley left in 15 years! No one seems to be given a chance or opportunity if that's correct. They were not critical of us, only they they believe that with their budget being 5 times ours then the reality is they should win. One asked why did we get rid of Prately? He maybe 39 but he showed more desire than any of their midfield, even when he made that pass pass in the first half he ran 20 yards to try to win it back whereas there midfield didn't run, chase anything they did wrong. They also praised Beccles and that they played into those two players hands the whole game. If they lose against Bristol Rovers it's gonna be deacon 5!
