Really surprised we've paid another fee. Thought buying Cooper was to free up a loan spot so wonder if we can still expect another loan signing. 3 new players seems a bit excessive to me unless we're fairly sure someone will move on. You'd imagine this also rules McKirdy out, at least for now. Heard the "fee" for Cooper might be all (or mostly) performance bonuses, so wonder if this one might be the same. Seems like a good strategy for a club our size. Welcome Ollie! Fulham probably agreed a small signing on fee on the basis of securing a large proportion of the fee if Orient re sold him. Don’t expect any more signings in January. This signing is based on next years team being good enough for play offs

If teams are willing to sell players to us and rely upon getting value from a sell-on fee, says a lot about how highly regarded Wellens and the coaching staff are, in bringing players on.

That makes sense. Otherwise, if FFC let a youngster go at a fee we could afford then they clearly don't rate his chances of being a valuable player in the foreseeable future. I like to think you've got this one right with FFC reckoning on a future payoff after RW et al raise the young man's value.

Seems an even better signing then.

Good business. Young and seemingly good, won’t cost much. Provides cover and could if he develops earn us money in the future. Hard to criticise this transfer. Look forward to seeing him play, I’m sure he will be trying very hard.
As for any fee, I think all EFL transfers are undisclosed. Not really any of our business to be honest.

Which current player does this effect most? Put Piggot back further? Give Theo a chance to have a breather?

Out wide so helps out either wide player, formally a midfielder for maybe cover for Sanders. Pigott is more central generally, Ruel is often used out wide as well as Theo and Forde. In the first instance my guess is Theo will get some rest, maybe doing the first 60 the some rest.

He speaks very well. Seems educated, and articulate. Hope he comes on, on Saturday at some point, so we can see him Good luck to the lad Educated with 11 A* GCSE grades and two A* A-Level grades. I don't have one of either but I did leave school 60 years ago.

Steve Heighway, Alan Comfort, Steve Coppell and Tony Galvin spring to mind. I'm sure there are plenty more that attained the dizzy heights of academia. There will be I'm sure those blessed with the abundance of grey cells playing at the Abbey Stadium in the annual Varsity match in March.

If I recall didn't Tommy Johnston play a couple of games with a plaster cast on his arm? If true they would be having kittens in today's H&S climate.
