Has gone on loan from gillingham to Cambridge. Many were calling for us to sign him , well I am glad that didn’t materialise. I said at the time I hoped we wouldn’t as he had done nothing after leaving us.

I actually think he would fit in with RW’s system very well. He always worked hard. That said, its been a fee years now and best to remember how he was

I thought he would fit in too, but at the time his wages were said to be a major obstacle. In the event he did very little at Gillingham so it seems we did well to pass on that one.

I don't know if any of you have seen him play this season, but I watched him on the TV and I'd hazard a guess at why he didn't score any goals, he's unfit and fat. From what O saw he's about 2 stone heavier than when he was here and slower than a slow thing.
I would have had the "old' Bonne back and said it myself we should have gone and got him. That being said RW obviously knew he was out of shape and overweight and wanted no part of it, that's where the professional option is greater than the fans memory of the player!
We dodged a bullet there.

During Macca's best season with us, I thought he fell away very badly towards the end. I couldn't decide if he'd been sussed, if he'd been lucky up to then, or if he knew he'd get a plumb move in the off-season. He's made some good money on the way but I can't see him going anywhere upwards now after bombing at Gillingham.
