Ross Embleton had left Colchester for a new opportunity. Dont know exactly what that is yet. Whatever it is I wish him well.

Col U said this.....
The U's Head of Recruitment joined the U's in the summer of 2022, and has also stepped in to help with first team coaching duties between permanent Head Coaches. He has most recently been instrumental in ensuring a successful January transfer window, and leaves the U's in a strong position to move away from the bottom of League Two in the second half of the season. U's Sporting Director Dmitri Halajko was keen to praise Ross, saying: "It's really disappointing, I've really enjoyed working with Ross." "He's added a lot to the football club, the recruitment he's put in has been second to none - he's worked with four different managers which isn't easy to adapt to but he's been able to do that. "Ross has added more to the club than just Head of Recruitment - he also helped out with the first team when needed, both as an Assistant Coach when Matt Bloomfield came in and has taken the reins as a Caretaker as well. "He's also been across the academy, helping them with Academy recruitment, the younger players and their pathways." "We're losing a key member of staff, he's taking up an opportunity that he wants to do and we totally understand because people progress from this football club. "We're sad to lose him, but equally wish him all the best and thank him for what he's done for us."
They clearly liked him there.

Colchester had some nice things to say so doesn't appear to be performance related. I imagine the Cowleys have their own ideas. Good luck to Ross in whatever he does next.

I think he has done a difficult job in touch circumstances - like he did here. I hope the reason he is leaving is because he has been offered stability , relatively, and more dough. Hes a goodun and loves the O’s.

Any news on what he has moved on to? I hope it’s for a job that makes him happy. One way or another he’s had a tough few years and I thought he was doing well at Colchester despite all their troubles. I sincerely hope it’s nothing to do with the new manager. The message suggests he resigned rather than was invited to go. I’m sure most of us wish him well and will look out for what his next adventure is.

My sources say he's left to run a B&B in Margate.

I wish Ross all the best. He stepped up to the plate twice when we needed him. He striked me as having a little imposter syndrome, if correct, possibly due to lack of a footballing career. One of the best followed the same route - Mourinho. Good luck to him.

Except he’s still around, despite the sneering comments of some. Wasn't a sneer but fact Not sneering but unkind. Like Ross a lot and when asked to step up to the plate to do a job we know he had no ambitions for and in impossible circumstances he did. Huge amount of respect for a selfless attitude towards the club, board and supporters. Best to focus on that. If a suitable position arose at Orient I for one would welcome him home.
