Once he gets the consistency then he will be off, sold for a few quid and picking up an amazing contract. Hopefully by then he will have got us somewhere closer to where we want to be.

On Tuesday he beat his personal best for goals a season with 15 games to spare. 10th highest scorer in the league. Not too shabby for a first season at this level. Goes absent in too many games but in terms of goalscoring he's probably more consistent than he gets credit for. I've said it before but I think he could have a monster 24/25. I just hope it's with us.

LOTS OF COMMENTS ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY HE PUT OVER THE BAR BUT NOT MANY ABOUT THE TWO CRACKING GOALS HE SCORED INCLUDING A RARE HEADED GOAL FOR RUEL ! PS, the keyboard got locked on capital letters and just managed to unlock it back to normal setting ! I’m a 100% Ruel and his header HAS been mentioned.. ''I’m a 100% Ruel and his header HAS been mentioned''
But not mentioned by many but plenty of mentions about a chance that he put over the bar ! He has got three goal in his last 2 appearances, that's what counts !

Hang on, wasnt the narrative ‘if Ruel is the answer, what's the question’?

Hang on, wasnt the narrative ‘if Ruel is the answer, what's the question’? Not while his last kick was a goal. Join us again on Saturday for the next chapter of the Ruel Sotiriou Story from the comfort of our damp sheets.

Our DOF and scouts certainly do Orient proud with their choice of strikers and other positions; With the odd exception of course.

Hang on, wasnt the narrative ‘if Ruel is the answer, what's the question’? The narrative is not negative. It’s just all too often he just doesn’t live up to the undoubted potential he has. He has so much to offer, on occasions he delivers, some of his goals are superb. Just imagine how good he could be if he improved his consistency. He is one hell of a frustrating player. Never know which Ruel will turn up. The quality striker or the anonymous player. Fix that and he will go a long way.

When I started that thread he might as well not been on the pitch as he offered no work rate, no goals and no outlet. Some games he does nothing, some games he works hard chasing things down and is seen as doing nothing and some games he does nothing and scores a goal. In my opinion he needs to work harder and convert more chances provided to him. I want him to succeed badly as he came from our youth team, I just think sometimes he doesn't realise would he could achieve.

What a team we are going to have next season a really exciting young team full of attacking players.I don't think we'll need many new faces in personally I'd love us to go all out to sign Idris and maybe try to get Forde back for another season. The future really is looking bright for the O's Couldn't agree more. If they were all fit, you would definitely have a squad that could challenge for promotion. The play-offs are probably a bit too much of a reach this season but I would definitely be optimistic about the next one. Idris has been outstanding and Forde has come on massively. We should certainly try to sign both if at all possible.
Both Forde and Idris seem very happy with the club. With the possibility of Championship football available within the next couple of seasons it wouldn't be beyond imagination that the club might push the boat out and the players take the carrot of playing here on permanent contracts. The future does look rosy. I don't want to be a pessimist at all but what worries me slightly is that, as with any club, the possibility of regular injuries might dent that dream. It was great to see Moncur back to his best. If he can grow stronger and cleverer each game then he is going to be a massive asset to the club. Combining with Galbraith, Sanders and Idris in midfield it will be a joy to watch. We could stick anyone up front for the number of chances they will get and demand a a 20-goal season.

No never know dub. but my opinion is that Shaq is not ready for championship football,so he may well be on loan again next season Personally I think he could play a role as a backup player in the Champ. QPR took a punt on playing Kelman after all and I think Shaq's significantly better. I suppose a team like Watford would be aiming for promotion though, so they'll probably be looking to upgrade on what they've got, which could make him 5th or 6th choice rather than 3rd or 4th. We'll see I guess. I'd be over the moon if him and El Miz are both here next season. The big differences between Forde and Kelman are that Kelman was better at running around and passing, Forde better at knowing where the ball should be (in the net). That's what a striker should do. I must say I've been impressed with other aspects of his play, particularly attempting to pressurise the other team's attempts to come forward. He tackles much more than at the start here and he defends well too. I'd sign him.

I too am so angry at him not being an actual Lionel Messi, in flesh and deed, whilst playing his first season in league one. Theres no way that encouraging him and boosting his confidence will ever work. Ever. 😵💫

Hang on, wasnt the narrative ‘if Ruel is the answer, what's the question’? He's the answer at the moment. He could be the answer, full stop. In fact with his talent he should be. But some assume that because we ain’t Brown nosing him we must dislike him and nothing could be further from the truth. I posted earlier in the season 15+ is well within his reach. It definitely is. But he could be so much more. Other seasons follow the same pattern. Great periods followed by not much. Anonymous. Good patches, not much, dropped/bench then back with a bang. I’d love him to be in demand by bigger clubs, a regular good performer (the odd poor game accepted). First name on the team sheet. Be pleased for him to be making his way up the pyramid. He has the talent. But when the goals dry up he still needs to be contributing.

He is young, first season in division one, on a learning curve and doing well and improving. Be happy with what we have, we shall really miss him if he goes at the end of the season.
No good wishing he was Messi or Michael Owen because he isnt and if he was anywhere near as good as them, well he would not be at Leyton Orient !

I was listening to some podcast chat about Harry Kane going missing in games recently for Bayern. I think it's worth remembering that can happen to any 9 when the team isn't clicking, just as your goalie often has nothing to do when you're playing really well.
Ruel frustrates the hell out of me sometimes, but the fact remains you wouldn't bet against him scoring even in games when he literally hasn't touched the ball. Until very recently, our attack as a whole hasn't properly clicked since early in the Jackett season, so I'm excited to see what Ruel can do now that we're finally firing on all cylinders.
