So that I understand, the kit carries the emblem of the English but the cross is not red, is that the problem? Genuine question, what's it all about? yes that's correct.

I am not personally offended by the change in the cross but completely understand those that are. It was always going to be hugely controversial. The rest of the design is boring. Theres creatively understated and then theres bland. Id imagine the design team that came up with it were handsomely rewarded too.

Apparently one of the best selling England shirts in years so the populace are not bothered despite the right wing rabblerousers trying to ignite a culture war as usual

It's nothing to do with right or left wing, it's about our flag being changed, it shouldn't happen, simple as.

If you don't know, better not too. Sure, I'll just parrot the buzzword de rigueur every time I'm angry at something I can't define instead.

Seems to be trying to include pinks and blues to attract a wider audience of people from a wider range of specific communities who use this style rather than the red and white which as far as I see it applies to everyone. I Could be wrong of course, maybe just someone using artistic licence. Though reading various reports my take is not an isolated one. Like I say, I could be wrong. Probably am. So are maybe lots of others saying the same thing. Remarkable similar to the bi-sexual flag. 2 of the 3 colours are similar to those on the bi-sexual flag and in a different order. I doubt someone at Nike thought let's try to get more bi-sexuals specifically into the game with an opaque nod to their flag. If that was the case they could've just gone full rainbow to cover the Ls and the Gs as well as the Bs. More likely they just thought putting some pink on the cross would get enough people mad about it to boost sales without it actually making any sort of point they might have to stand by. It worked! Well done everyone, we've proved once and for all what a nation of easily manipulable drones we are!

If there are any left-wing voices spewing filth and fury over this kit then I've somehow missed them. (And I'd imagine if they do exist they're more concerned with the cynicism of it as a marketing ploy rather than a flag being changed.) I'm curious as to why you think changing a flag should never happen? Presumably this view doesn't extend to the hundred of defaced flags visible in the stands at every England game.

There are thousands of idiots who will gladly pay £125, what do Nike care Probably worth noting that £125 is for the "authentic" shirt that the players actually perform in, which hasn't actually been released to the public yet. The ones selling now are the £85 replicas. So not only are the press creating plenty of free exposure for the kit, but by misrepresenting the price, they may well be generating even more sales by leading people to think they're getting the shirt at a steal!

Sales targets smashed. Nike have said it has been unprecedented that a shirt sells out in the first 48 hours. I won't buy one, not because I give a fig about the colours on a minor bit of the collar but because paying over £100 for a football shirt is ridiculous

For the first time ever the new England away kit outsells the new Home kit as people reject the wome crap they have put on it.
The people gave spoken, its time Nike were waved goodbye to.

Saw this comment, made me smile.
I left two of those home strips in my car and someone broke in and left four more. Be careful out there

Wow you don't give up with this story. You, the Daily Mail and Joey Barton the only ones still bothered lol I guess our national identity is more important to some than others. Being quiet is not the same as not being bothered. I personally hope sales of the shirt bomb.

Disgraceful. Designers trying to be clever and getting it so wrong, again.

It’s almost like Nike and adidas want to cause conflict and strife. Glad I’m not a Nike person or I’d be swerving them like he plague.
