Theo had his knee operation a few weeks ago. Does anyone know how it went (successfully, I hope), and is it now just the case of strengthening it with no further operations needed?

Many sports people get this ACL operation nowadays, had this operation myself in 1992, but the knee ACL was injured in 1970 so the repair was 22 years too late and by then, the major damage to the knee joint had been done. As a rule this operation is very successful if done soon after the injury and not that painful after the operation has been done. As to how good the knee will be for playing competitive football again. much will depend on if the knee joint has other damage other than purely the ACL. If cartilage is undamaged and no other ligaments damaged then with knee strengthened by the intensive physio he will get, he should make a good recovery and be back playing some time next season. Good luck Theo in your recovery !

There was I thinking that Confucius was asking mungo to leg his alter ego to be allowed back on the board along with his other alter ego Sidmouth.

This is sad news. Theo was my favourite. Worked his nuts off every game with decent skill. I was hoping to see him in January and he have a few months to build his confidence again. I will be checking on him in a years time to see what he's up to/his progress.

Feel for Theo. Deserves better than this. That is very bad news for Theo and Orient.Probably our most popular player, lets hope he makes it back and the prognosis is wrong. The worst Orient news for a long time.

A disaster for Archibald. As the time frame for recovery is the same as it was originally, I assume this means that the op was essentially a complete failure.

Hope this doesn't become Steve parsons revisited. I was thinking just that! We can only hope he fares better than SP but it will be a long road back for the lad. 🤞
