Well that's it then, the three clubs promoted from the Championship are going to be relegated at the end of the season, baring a miracle or a further points reduction.
Getting closer to MLS every season.
What is the point of the PL, if it doesn't provide real competition and excitement?

Getting closer to MLS every season. What is the point of the PL, if it doesn't provide real competition and excitement? There will be two different clubs qualifying for Champions League. And Premier League could make it more exciting by relegating Manchester City for their 115 charges. And Spurs/West Ham could make it quite exciting this week by not losing to Manchester City.

Just read it might be another year before City's case is heard. Why is it taking so long? They must really want to hammer them and have all the i' dotted and t's crossed.

They must really want to hammer them and have all the i' dotted and t's crossed. 115 charges vs very expensive lawyers City will be buying the best lawyers they can. Given the likely complexity of each charge and the interpretation of the rules, this will take ages to resolve, if it ever is. City have to prove nothing. The FA do. Tough gig.

David Moyes had a good farewell from the West Ham Fans and was thoroughly deserved. Not everyone's ideal manager but they won a European cup with him.Wonder who is lined up.

Sheffield United haven’t really competed when they have been in Premier League. I would be surprised if Leicester and the team who come up via the play offs don’t make a better fist of it. Ipswich, I don’t know.

Perhaps but I think this is the first time in almost a decade the three promoted teams go down Twice in Premier League history, 1997 - 98 Season and this Season. There are a plethora of clubs in the Championship with fan bases and the stadium capacity that could & should be able to play and survive in the Premier League, providing of course they are run the right way, survive being the operative word here, the top six in the Premier League 99.9% of the time is easily predictable, well the top 4 anyway. Who would've predicted Ipswich achieving back to back promotions from League one to Championship to Premier League? I think that surprised a lot of people. Was it as surprising as Leicester winning the Premier League in 2015-16? I doubt the Premier League big boys will let something like that happen again. The funds required just to survive in the Premier League are astronomical let alone the cost to compete against the "Big Six".

The Premier has been boring for years in that respect. But even League One looked like a procession of the big clubs this year. That's the way the whole English game is going and why this is a good time to be growing Leyton Orient if we can.

I’d not be bored with a mid table position in the Championship or even the Premiership. Ok we won’t win either but the quality of the opposition every week, the quality of the stadiums to visit and the match-day atmosphere. To be honest I’d be happy with a modest mid-table position in league 1 next year.
Let the bigger teams fight it out at the top of tiers 1 and 2. Not us now nor will be for many years to come, if ever. Dont care if it’s the same old same old at the top. Dont affect us. But for us moderate seasons in either is something we can only dream of. Definitely not boring. I’d switch places with Bournemouth!

Think League 1 can still throw up some surprises, after all how many mid table teams beat Man City at home 3-0 😁

But then did some of our defeats. yet for me dohnut it didn't surprise me as at home we were as good as them yet 3 down! Our team is as good anyone this past season, we just lacked that experience, know how and the key feature consistency. Take Cambridge at home, I cant remember an Orient team playing better football than that in god knows how many years, yet how many times did we hit that sweet spot? Not enough.

Our team is as good anyone this past season, we just lacked that experience, know how and the key feature consistency. Take Cambridge at home, I cant remember an Orient team playing better football than that in god knows how many years, yet how many times did we hit that sweet spot? Not enough. We were as good as them for maybe 35 minutes. Thereafter the difference in class was evident from a team clearly only going one way. Though sloppy goals didn’t help us. By the time we played them again they had moved up a few gears and we hadn’t. We were lucky, we caught them in a rare poor spell. Against Cambridge we were a delight to watch, though I thought they played to our strengths whereas many teams play to our weaknesses. Our inability to score is matched only by our inability to create chances, or take a shot when we do. Being good in two thirds of the pitch just ain’t good enough. Will be better next season for sure. Well I’m not sure, just hope we are, going to be a real dog fight and we need to learn to scrap. Win ugly works for me.
