CDAJ? 26-year-old forward leaving Wigan as unable to agree terms of new contract. Comes from Richie's neck of the woods and praised by him as one of the best players in the division (or words to that effect).

Stephen Humphrys just does not sound like an Orient players name.Sounds like the school swot of the 50s.

I think our new player acquisition committee will be spoilt for choice including Mr Humphrys if he hasn't been snapped up. The amount of players being jettisoned by clubs will require wheat and chaff selection I would have thought. Ispoke to a Posh supporter this morning and he couldn't believe they have let go their 1st choice goalkeeper called Steer who was on a short term contract.

So Jed Steer will have to mosey on down to the corral this summer.

I'm pretty sure he'd break our wage structure. He was already on 6.6k a week supposedly. Are we gonna do that for a striker who's record for goals in a season is equal to Ruel's?

Are we gonna do that for a striker who's record for goals in a season is equal to Ruel's? 6.6k a week does sound like a decent whack. I've no idea what type of player Humphrys is, except that if RW fancies him he must be capable of running about a lot. Interestingly, his market value is 500K, while Ruel's is 450K, so judging by that, there's not a lot of difference.
As far as Ruel himself is concerned, given the strength of next year's division there will be interest from other clubs. Hopefully he'll sign up again, but if past form is any guide it won't be till the last minute.

Liam Kelly released by Coventry. Always liked him and a born leader. At 34 on the older side, but if Prats moves into a coaching role, could do worse than have Kelly take his place.

I thought he was a really good player during his short stay with us - even though he spent much of the time injured/ suspended!

This is what's going to happen now I'm afraid. Any decent league 1 players becoming available......Wrexham will be getting them because of their multi millionaire owners, and their buying power.
Who's going to want to join Orient on 4 or 5 grand a week, when they can join Wrexham on 8 to 10 grand a week?
