Anyone watching?
Just watched Chamberlain absolutely flatten his opponent.
Moses Itamua is up now, said to be the future of boxing at heavyweight.

Moses wins by a knockout after 50 seconds in round two after hitting his oppo with a hook to his ear followed by a hook to his temple which flew his legs up in the air and put him on his back.
He got up beating the count, but his legs were like bambi both moving in different directions and proving to the ref Howard Foster he was in no condition to continue.

Kaybayel just stops Sanchez in round 7. Really disappointing display from Sanchez who went down twice to body shots. As a Cuban boxer I expected so much more from Sanchez who as no.6 in the world was poor, very poor.

I was wondering where the Tyson comparison was coming from with Moses. Fair play to him, he absolutely smelt blood and came alive.

Hard to place Kabayel as he is a smallish heavyweight that doesn't punch to the head. I'm not sure where I'd rank him. But his performance in December and tonight puts him right up there.

I think Fury will win on points.
Just a case of being too big for Usyk.
Opinions?

Be good to see him fight AJ or Parker and then we will see how good he is.

I think Fury will win on points. Just a case of being too big for Usyk. Opinions? I think Fury on points. If he keeps Uysk on the ropes and goes to the body then he could chop him down, but uysk is far too clever to stay there as a 19 stone man leaning down on you is very tiring.

How wrong was I? Just goes to show, you think you know and the other fella does a proper number on him. I did hear in the week that Cordena struggles to make weight and maybe it's caught up with him?
Take nothing away from Cacacehe was the better fighter on the night.

I had Jai Opetaia win in by 3 rounds so can see why 2 judges said 4 rounds. What this fight has shown is that Opetaia still has a bit of work to do as he was hanging on in the end and I think he let his broken nose get to him mentally.

But to achieve your dream at the backend of your career must be amazing.

Uysk v Fury Thread with a lot written about other fights but no mention of the result of the Uysk v Fury fight at all......rather strange ? Well here is what happened.......''Tyson Fury suffered a split-decision points defeat on a dramatic night in Saudi Arabia as Oleksandr Usyk became boxing's first four-belt undisputed heavyweight champion. On a grand stage and on a legacy-defining night, Briton Fury began well but was given a standing 10 count and saved by the bell after an Usyk onslaught in the ninth round. In a tense wait for the scorecards to be read out, Fury appeared convinced of victory before a stony-faced Usyk broke down in tears when he was confirmed as the winner. The scorecards read 115-112 and 114-113 for the Ukrainian, with a third judge scoring it 114-113 to Fury. It meant Fury, 35, lost for the first time in a 16-year professional career. He will get an immediate opportunity for revenge with a rematch planned for later this year'' www.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/articles/clwwl4pq092o

I thought Uysk won the fight by a couple of rounds , Fury felt he'd won it but I can't see it myself.

Too tired to comment last night.
An intriguing fight in what I thought not much happened aside from in the 8th or was it 9th?
Usyk boxed a masterclass though and the fight did swing on the momentum and ebb and flow of it all.
I believe it should have been called off and the ref gave Fury waaaay too much time to recover and get through to the bell when he was clearly standing KO'd.

Well my take on it was fury was clearly winning and his attacks to the body were working. The fight changed with the standing eight count, fury didn’t win a round until the final round which has cost him his belts. On my reckoning I had Usyk up by one round at the end.
I am not sure why he stopped the body shots as he quite clearly had Usyk in trouble with them and his ability to hit his head should not be underestimated as there was only going to be one winner and that was fury. Why he changed I am not so sure. One thing he needs to do is tell his dad to shut up in the corner as his son had got this far in his career without him being ringside spouting his mouth off. Every time sugar tried to give him advice his old man was telling him something different. You need one voice and his dad was confusing matters in my opinion.
As for Usyk we have a great champion and a good man to boot sitting up top of the boxing world. If kids want to look to heroes and how to conduct their lives for the better then Usyk is a good one to look to. A great boxer who carries himself correctly through his life.

I suspect that if Fury didn’t have that standing count, it would have been a draw. Surprised it was split decision.
