Did we see a poor opposition goalkeeper last season,I do not recall any.The style of passing out from the back caused many giveaway goals.I wonder if that will be stopped this coming season.

Blondy hasn't played higher than National League and is only 22. I'd like to see us sign a keeper with experience. Bonham would do but still has a year on his contract. It's a pity David Icke wasn't younger he could have done two jobs keep goal and predicted the future season fortunes of the O's better than Mystic Meg😅 |

I am dreaming of Blondy coming and being an atomic hit but when it comes to keepers the tide is high and I would expect he will leave us with hearts of glass and every weekend after the match we will have to cry to our Sunday girl.

Pigott still has a year on his contract but if you’re surplus to requirements. As for experience, with goalkeepers can you make the step up easier than outfield players? After all, if you’re playing behind a National League defence, against National League strikers, is it easier or harder to keep a clean sheet than if you’re playing a couple of leagues up? If you’ve got good positional sense, agility and command of your area, perhaps the biggest thing missing is game time and knowing how to read what your defenders are likely to do? I’m probably’Dreaming’, so ‘Will anything happen’ , we’ll find out ‘One way or another’ 😁 |

One of the best goalkeeping displays against the orient was by the Portsmouth reserve keeper in our home game in the Johnston paint pot thingy, or whatever it’s called.
He made some excellent saves.

The thing is with visiting goalkeepers we do not know if a worldly performance is a one off or his usual game.
