Really pleased that City negative tactics have been punished. For all of their lack of possession when United have the ball they attack.
2-0 and deserved

City paid a heavy price for their tippy tappy football in the first half. Boring and ineffective. In the second they changed their approach, they had to, and were a much better team for it.
74% possession and they lost. Bloody good job. But they dominated the ball!

I thought it was a decent game.
Ten Hag got his tactics spot on in the first half and City didn’t really have an answer for it. Second half city changed and were really good, but just couldn’t do enough to score. Overall Utd deserved to win in my opinion, but in now way was it a boring game.

Not how much of the ball you have it’s what you do with it Bit like the Os then, lots of possession in most games but struggle to score and conceding too many breakaway goals. |

Endless passing across the back. One point I recorded 3 minutes when city had the ball in the centre circle and Bar a throw that’s exactly where it ended up before they tried something positive. Tedious. And people moan about VAR. The stats didn’t lie. Boring Some credit to united of course but 74% possession and one shot off target ain’t my idea of entertaining football. Only when city were forced to adjust did they look good. The second half was much better. Even then it was the situation that was exciting rather than the football. |

For the second game running Haarland starved of the ball Man C ignored him, In my book Goali cost them the game, is that the best they got

I havent watched an fa cup final for some years but am on holiday so didnt have the distraction of gardening or washing the car etc so decided give it a go. I really enjoyed the tactical differences between the two sides. City were bewildered for the first half. United did exactly what a poorer team should do - they outworked them. That was the poorest Ive seen City play in a long time.
I have two screens with me so watched the cricket on the other and that was a great game.
Far from boring. I really enjoyed both.
