I enjoy a well-kept pint of Spitfire in this neck of the woods. When I go up to see my friends in the midlands I enjoy Everard's Tiger. Having said that, I don't count myself as a real ale enthusiast. It's because I like the taste of these two and they're very refreshing. Funny how people like so many different drinks.

Last night I was out and about and was drinking some fancy IPA's.
The stand out one was by DEYA, the Steady Rolling Man. Was kept beautifully and was a treat to drink. £7 a pint. And to be honest worth every penny.
My current favourite breweries are Verdant and Bianca Road. Both seem to be producing some very nice and light IPA's at the moment.
Living along the Bermondsey Beer Mile I'm absolutely spoiled for beer. Starting around South Bermondsey station with Fourpure, then heading along to London Bridge you can take your pick of.. Fourpure, Bermondsey Social, Three Hills, Battersea Brew, Anspach and Hobday, Partizan, Kernel, Mash Paddle, Bianca Rad, Cloudwater, Moor, Southwark Brewing.
And they're all within a mile of each other on the same road. Can't keep up with what is open and closed though. Could be more or less along the way.

De Koninck Bolleke, a truly superb beer Greene King IPA tastes like soapy washing up water Yes a great beer. I still play darts and twice a season play in the Horseshoe EC1. Luckily near by is the Dovetail where I can get this fine Antwerp beer on draught. www1.camra.org.uk/pubs/dovetail-london-156420 Not sure it helps with the doubles but I did hit a bullseye finish there.

If you ever get the chance the De Koninck brewery in Antwerp is well worth a visit. Take the tour then enjoy their beers on the rooftop terrace or in the ground floor bar, nice shop too.

View Attachment I did that many years ago. I visited the pub opposite where you can(could) add a spot of yeast to your glass, ordered a plate of cheese and a customer helped himself thinking it was a freebie. The barstaff put him straight.

Currently drinking a few cans of Post Punk IPA.
Later during the match I will switch to the weaker Cold Beer.

And pee poor weak. 😂ok Greene King used to brew some decent beers until they decided to start taking over and closing other breweries and trying to take over the world. Now GK is a metaphor for mediocrity. Shame, they used to have loads of great pubs in their home turf of East Anglia. Doom Bar was quite quaffable until they sold out to Molson Coors and turned it into a national brand. I hate Doom Bar.
