Great managers in any industry show flexibility in thought, listen to others and execute VE- value engineering ( which is a description given to extracting positives from ideas)
Let see if RW may consider flexibility if he thinks this idea has merit. The good thing about VE is some ideas remain as ideas and no one gets discouraged as the alternative solution is usually more beneficial to the situation.
