Hearts have arranged a 150th celebration parade on Saturday from Morrison Street at 1pm, a few yards up from the War Memorial at Haymarket and about a mile walk from Tynecastle Stadium. (Haymarket is very easy to get to from central Edinburgh, either 4 minutes on train from Waverley Station or by bus but also walkable if you are fit enough).
Hearts have invited both sets of fans to attend the parade, in the walk down to the ground. There apparently will be 150 pipers and bandsmen, and the Os bugle band will be among them.
I'm planning to go, my train arrives in Waverley at 12.25, I'll transfer over to a train back to Haymarket (they're every few minutes) and should be well in time for the march which starts at 1pm.
Thought I would post this just in case any travelling Os fans had missed it, should be a noisy and fun event and hopefully I'll see some Os colours and scarves in the mix!
Up the Os!

Sounds like it'll be wonderful occasion - alas, being 10,000 miles from the action I cannot attend...Anyone know if this is going to be streamed at all?

Edinburgh is one of my favourite cities. Would love to be able to make this, but alas 😞

Stadium is about a 20 minute walk from Haymarket so not far at all. No real hills to speak of so pretty easy trip.

Unfortunately I discovered on arrival at Kings Cross this morning that my train was cancelled, so mad scramble to get seats on next one at 8.30. Fortunately worked out ok as I bumped into a couple of Os buddies I used to sit with and we managed to get the last 3 seats together. However I now can’t make the parade which I was really looking forward to, but at least I’m still in good time to meet my local family at the ground and for the game. Annoying though!

I have purchased my matchday pass and I am looking forward to seeing this match.Surprised the system hasn't changed for matchday streaming as it normally is.

A privilege to take part in the parade, and a privilege to attend this friendly.

I had goosebumps watching this video. What a credit Hearts are as a football club. There are many many thousands walking in the parade, Richie pops up at about the 6 min mark.
Well done to all and well done to Hearts FC.
