How can someone be shot just because you don't agree with their politics? This is mental, whether you like him or not this is not acceptable behaviour.

I used to spend about a quarter of a year working in America. They love guns and you can't win an argument with them when you talk about it.
A friend of mine is about 5 foot tall, she drives a 7 litre truck, her head doesn't reach the bonnet, it's huge. In the back is a gun box, I asked her is it for guns? She said yes. Now I know her husband was a Marine, so I asked how many guns does he have? She said they are not all his, I have my own guns as well. They had at that time 42 guns of all descriptions. I told her that's crazy, they have assault riffles amongst their collection.
It's said that there are more guns than people and when you consider there is over 330m people that's a lot of guns.

Yes a fact there are more guns then people it was stated this morning on BBC news channel by an enminent american expert.very scary and won't go away anytime soon

And the justification often given for personal arsenals is to defend against tyranny and oppression.
So when you have an apologist for dictatorships so transparently trying to erode democracy, and so frequently inviting violence do so, you can only wonder why something like this took so long.
Will be interesting to see how the gun nuts spin it. Hard to imagine it ends well.

Her husband worked away for long periods. She took lessons to make sure she could use it. Any burglar would have been shot, no questions asked. And no comeback from the authorities likely. The gun lobby will of course say guns don’t kill, people do. And they do with guns, knives, cars, bombs and so on. |

Agreed. Sadly, the American market is so saturated with firearms that anybody can get a gun. Even the mentally ill. Some states hand out firearms like they’re candy on Halloween. Ironically it is the Trump supporters that are the vocal supporters of guns. Both sides need to dial down the rhetoric. 320 million people and these are the two best we have??

NOT one US media site or official source in the US (and I have been trying to find one) has mentioned this yet , the only source was one red top rubbish newspaper in the UK known for spreading rumour and half truths. It may be true or it may not but until someone official says it then it’s just a rumour. |

Trump is very pro everyone owning as many guns as they want and his argument is that if all the ''GOOD Guys'' have guns, then they can band together to take out the random shooters. I guess the Americans were brought up on watching too many of the old wild west cowboy films. |
