Hopefully not too many weeks away. Really excited when he signed for us, I’d take him over Smythe any day, but thus far we’ve only seen glimpses of what he can do. Definitely want to see more, a lot more. ''I’d take him over Smythe any day''
I think you would be on your own with that opinion.Perhaps the season when he was forever in and out injured but no way the following season when he was one of the main reasons we got promotion, I think you would be on your own with that opinion. I get the feeling that if he ever gets the a decent number of games, he will change minds. Has the skills of Smythe and added physicality. I really hope we get the chance to compare.

Not the youth of Smyth or the goals coring ability. Injury prone yes, well they are alike there !

I agree with Doh, think Graham is a level above Smyth. One pacy and exciting, the other full of trickery and can place a cross in the right place and has done it at the higher level, which Smyth so far has failed to do.

I prefer Graham too. I do worry though about how robust he is, but then the same applied to Smyth.

But If I remember, Graham’s injury didn’t come from a tackle. Hope he comes back fitter and stronger than ever. Thought his crossing of the ball against Hearts was excellent.

Agree, his corners against Hearts were great, whipped in with pace right under the bar. Graham is going to be a key player for us this year and with Agyei up top, Oneil/DJ on the other side, I think we will do ok this year. ( Jonah alert)

Not wishing to be pesimistic, but he might be more of a super sub. He's very quick and skilful but more of an impact from the bench player. That would be the best way to use his influence over the season. Otherwise if he's on the sick bench for another six months there's no point. Good winger but has to watch his knees to keep the injuries at bay. I think he might well be more of an impact sub. After this season we will need to replace him, injuries will take their toll and he will start to hide more.

Smyth is holding his own in a league above us, our bloke has been bombed out of that league 'cause e' ain't good enough.

I thought he got the injury at Burton going for a 50/50 tackle , we where right in front of him and knew straight away it was a bad injury ☹️

Smyth is holding his own in a league above us, our bloke has been bombed out of that league 'cause e' ain't good enough. OK, let's examine that claim. From 1 Jan 24 he has been available in 24 games of which he started just 6 times and one of those being in the cup. He played 22 times times this past season and came off the bench a further 22 times. Most of his subs appearances came after Jan 1st where 16 of 24 he was available for came from the bench. That says to me he is not holding his own, is struggling for game time as he either isn't good enough for that level or the manager doesn't fancy him as a player, either way he is not holding his own. He was my favourite player when he was here however, his behaviour when he left was not right nor nice.

On what I’ve seen of the two to date, I’d plump for Smyth. Graham’s “season” was restricted to a dozen or starts so I’m going to hold off making a final judgement for now. Certainly Smyth was the more “ exciting” player but doesn’t necessarily mean he’s better - time will tell.

In a couple of months we can turn to discussing who should be stuck in the stiffs because their form has fallen off a cliff! !😆😆👍

Smythe was magic for us in our championship winning team made and scored wonderful goals. As of yet Graham is an unknown but has shown glimpses of what he can do and hasn't scored a goal for us yet.Hopefully Graham will become a fantastic player for us but Smythe was a match winner for us who was worth the admission price alone so has to be given the vote
