If we believe he is good enough to bring on, train, get used to men’s 1st team football eventually then offer a 2 year deal with a 1 year option. If not let’s look around for other younger talent who will do a 2 plus 1 deal. Maybe it’s time to look at earning from young players who this season will largely be backup.
The alternative being that by the time he is ready, he will be coming to the end of his contract and can leave for next to nothing. De Javu

I could see this happening if he can pass a medical. Talented player, O’s would have him as a backup striker anyway, so you could ease him in. Short term contract with option to extend if things work out, if not won’t take up much of the budget. Tbh I’d prefer the club kept ALL of our transfer budget ringfenced in the hope that we can sign a player(s) that have a better track record in terms of both performances and fitness. This guy is now a free agent so can be picked up after 31 August if needs be. We have a previous when it comes to signing forwards with a past history of injuries! |

Since 20-21 he has been loaned out to a total of 6 EFL football clubs, last 2 loans being 2022–2023 → Ipswich Town (loan) 17 appearances with 3 goals and 2023–2024 → Derby County (loan) he made a total of twelve appearances for Derby, scoring one goal, as they secured promotion to the Championship. This loan was interrupted by a severe hamstring tear which required surgery

The rumour came from a Twitter account that always makes up rumours, we know it's fake as the Tweet said he had been training with us for weeks which we know is rubbish. Nothing to see here
