I've had a quick look at the other message board, they're all in denial about the state of this country and the rest of the world.
It's taboo to speak the truth.
What's wrong with them ?

They are in the main a very left wing dominated football forum with the main movers being of a left wing political persuasion as are most of the political class and much of the media. In their own little metropolitan bubble and as you correctly say, in complete ''denial'' This forum does not get involved in politics, just mainly discusses Leyton Orient and other football related matters and is all the better for it !

You are right sir. Anybody who has any view other than left wing are shot down on there. Although no one answered my question as to why they called Farage a Nazi. You may not agree with his position for calling illegal immigrants out but Nazi is a bit strong. |

Unfortunately in this era we are in, mixed or balanced views seem to be in the minority despite everybody claiming they have mixed or balanced views.
All of our minds are being fed by the algorithms.

Despite having been banned more than once on the other forum, I quite enjoy the rough and tumble of political debates and generally give better than I get, it’s very active, very vocal and generally not too sensitive. Definitely not for the gentle souls. It’s got its place. I still read it regularly and make the odd post. Really enjoyed then trying to justify Labour stitching up many pensioners with the recent winter fuel allowance. Defending the indefensible.
Should I go back regularly and get involved in politics another ban beckons. So I don’t.

I met a few if them on the train back from Derby, I was surprised just how young and immature they were I had the pleasure of them on the way to and from Huddersfield (edit: Shrewsbury, not Huddersfield). Harmless as individuals and quite pleasant but in a pack they were rowdy. I'm only 40 (ish), but it was nice to see the exuberance of youth being let out on their own and expressing themselves. Their views will change with wisdom and experience. It's part of the growing up process. I'm sure we have all changed over the years. |

Sky News pundit this morning suggesting that the race rioting will die down now the season has started because the culprits can go back to being football hooligans. Nice to know that football plays such an important role in society.

And to suggest that problems getting social housing, doctor's appointments, and jobs, etc are less to do with migrants and more to do with spending cuts, flogging state assets to the highest bidder, and prioritising the rights of investors over the rights of labourers gets you branded as a left wing nut job. I was on there for years and had many a run in with them all. I am not against left wing beliefs as there are some good ideas we can use to better society, but equally the left is as bad as the right with the extreme views, those are the nut jobs. |

No one is calling you a left wing nut job, that is more the case of the other forum. Perhaps this and previous governments would care to listen to the majority of people in this country about the problems that massive uncontrolled immigration has brought on this country, but they dont wish to. |

Both news channels have very pro EU and anti Brexit views as does the Labour and Liberal Party. They are in their own elite metropolitan bubble ! |
