To be honest I don’t think Happe could have any complaints if a Red had happened. It was pretty bad. We got away with one

Don't think he caught him though, but the intent was there.

Second and closeish to the end from memory. He lunged in, going for the ball, but connected with the leg just above the foot. As soon as I saw it I thought red. Maybe the referee saw it differently, a yellow so I guess he did.

Like I said dohnut, I don’t think he caught him and I think the ref saw that version, intent was defo there though.

If the OP is anything to go by the Bolton manager saw it differently and he has the benefit of post-match opinion from his guys. I do wonder if some of the post match afters was down to this. I saw it as a bone breaker risk. id like to see it again. Jeez, it’s on X, via the Bolton site. That’s a red all day long, their guy out for a while too.

Happe went in studs 1st , although he didn't really connect I thought it was a red 🤔

Happe went in studs 1st , although he didn't really connect I thought it was a red 🤔 the other thing is he was in control of his body, he wasn't jumping in or flying through the air all these factors have to be considered to. Again I think it was a yellow, if he had caught him then it's a red.

At the end of the match Bolton players must of been the instigators of the group argument- as their player must of made a vocal criticism.
It would be more appropriate after matches both teams keep a distance when they salute their own fans there should be some generic organisation of exiting the pitch.
I don’t see why any two teams players have to have the habit of all shaking hands with each other - obviously some players and staff know some of the opponents staff and players but they can all meet up in a social meeting before the coach departs off the pitch.
That way any negative behaviour does not result being a potential club fine for either club

Again I think it was a yellow, if he had caught him then it's a red. Such a tackle is deemed serious foul play, it risks endangering an opponent. The penalty for serious foul play is a red card. Happe got away with one and Bolton are right to feel aggrieved. Had that tackle been made by a Bolton player I’ve little doubt Richie would have taken the same view.

End of the day it's not a complaint against Orient it's against the ref's decision to give a yellow card. As the ref issued a card it will be considered dealt with on field and there is little Bolton can do, poor tackle or not.

What was Orients foul count,it seemed very high as opposed to Boltons. The refs job is very difficult with different interpretations of a foul being added.I just sit and watch and wonder why X was not a foul and a similar X was.

I thought their players fell over much too easily, in an effort to gain an advantage.
Those pre season games against the Italians must have given them some ideas.
