Totally get the enjoyment of playing bigger teams. I took life for granted when we played big teams in tier 2 for 12 consecutive season and of course our season in the sun. Never to be repeated, not in my lifetime. Some great games in league 1 too. Love it. All the nicer following our flirtation with the NL.
But cup games are different. We won’t win big cups so my hope is either a long run and/or a big game. A long run means getting favourable draws. A big game means a top club. Millwall away is neither. Some attractive teams in the Southern half and we lucked out. Nothing against Millwall. But other than it being a local game, hardly sets the pulse racing. All that remains is the hope of an unlikely win in front of a modest crowd on a warm evening. And no injuries.

You can be a hard man to please at times. It's a lovely draw, it's potentially winnable and it's a local Derby. Our record overall against them is not bad either. Should be a decent crowd as well.
It's also against an established championship side, a league we have a desire to get to. A good yard stick to boot.
Onwards and upwards.

Could have been a lot worse i thought we'd get Cardiff or Plymouth away Could have been worse, but not much. Agree, about the only good thing is cheap travel expenses for the fans and team. A 3 out of 10 cup draw. |

Added interest. Winnable perhaps, hope so. Just doesn’t float my boat, especially when there were far better games to be had. The luck of the draw. |

I don’t think a game against the Lions is a bad draw tbh. We will go in as underdogs no doubt but they are the sort of outfit we might well upset if we get our act together on the night. Had many a good awayday against them in the past , Up the O’s!

A game that’s not really exciting many people even on their forum where they just see it as a decent opportunity to start a cup run. The odds are definitely in their favour. Just hope there is enough interest to get a decent crowd. |

Well local and avoids expensive traveling cost's for the team and fans I suppose and that is about it.

Last week I asked what was happening about our trialist Sam Hutchinson but no one seemed to know other than he had disappeared. We will find out if he was any good or not now as he has signed for Millwall !!

Being harsh there Doh that’s a great draw!! UP THE O’S At home perhaps but at their place, Bermondsey on a Tuesday/Wednesday night just does nothing for me.i find it hard to see this fixture as exciting. Convenient for the team saving travel and cost, but that’s it. Looking at the draw affecting league 1/2 sides I’d say we didn’t do very well. You see this cup draw about the same as me and apart from ''Convenient for the team saving travel and cost, but that’s it''....... and yes, that's about it. I doubt Wellins was jumping for joy at the news of this cup draw.
