Been attending all home games ( other than where not possible) for 74 years, inc in all the early years the reserve games, called the football combination then, plus the away games within easy travelling distance, and cherry picking away cup draws or games away to top clubs. Got to be between 1500 and 2000. Some great memories of some great past players the likes of I will never see again at Orient. I'd say you're pushing way over 2,000 👍

Dohnut, yes all of them plus a lot more , interesting that you mentioned the roffe punch, he has hands the size of a heavyweight. Even more impressive was the knockout punch mark Lazarus delivered against a Southend player during a reserve game. I was literally about 15 feet from the incident . The Southend player was shouting anti semetic insults and mark hit him under the heart leaving him rolling about on the ground and having to be stretchered off.

For me, loads, thats about as exact as I can get. Started going to the odd game around '82 with my uncle who was a fireman at Leyton Station so had an 'understanding' with the man on the Turnstile. I would scurry over the iron gate and get in for nothing. Then every home game from 94 with quite a few away until I left for Australia in 98 and from there, supporting LOFC was the dark ages for many years.
Saw a couple of televised games on Foxtel (inc. Spurs in the Cup 2001) but had to rely on mates sending me video cassettes of televised highlights (along with some decent telly), and cuttings out of the Hackney Gazzette and Ilford Recorder to stay abreast of things... Used to be, that I would not know the score until Monday morning when the results would be published in the Sydney Morning Herald (way down the page, with all the gravitas of Junior football results in the Waltham Forest Guardian) until the wonderful world of streaming came in and now I watch all of the buggers. Technology now, means I am probably 'closer' to the club and goings on than I have ever been.

Mungo , nothing like 2000 , I am just 80 but hope I live that long. A pal of mine also octogenerian said well we have had a great life and I just want to live long enough to see my grandchildren married , I replied that I wanted to live long enough to see the orient lift the European cup, but even methuselah only lived 969 years.

Saw Laz do something similar to David Peach when we were playing Gillingham in the last game of the 69/70 season. That was because Peach was pulling his shirt though!👍 As for games attended I don’t have a clear figure tbh but must be in excess of 1200. My first visit to Brisbane Road was August 1961 vs Southampton ( we lost). Taken by my dad on the back of his Lambretta I would have been five at the time. I will probably make less than a dozen games this season. Cost, lack of parking or dodgy public transport plus geographical location make going less attractive especially with Sky+ option available. Still, up the O’s!

Frightening thinking about how many games and how many hours of my life I’ve devoted to this club.

I started in 1962 ,aged 11 and on average up until 4 years ago , 15 games a season . I started to cherry pick my games about 12 years ag ,soon after Russ went . I don’t particularly like RW’s style of play so I am going less and less these days . In fact this could be my last season . Really gone off a lot of footie recently and my interest is going . Some of the stuff that O’s play sends me to sleep . I can see my interest going too. Not through Richie as I find his style of play quite exciting. But football in general has lost my interest. It's pushed the boundaries of commercialism a little too much for my liking. Not Orient. Just in general From my point of view I think the thing that’s been missing from watching Orient in recent seasons is the lack of a marquee signing in the mould say of Kevin Lisbie . I still hanker after being able to watch Mooney ,Coxy and Lisbie up front for the O’s . The play today is very methodical ,keep ball stuff and not a lot of penalty box action . Perhaps I have finished with the O’s .

Too many, apart from the Italian years the newer fans have enjoyed far more success than old gits like me. From when I started going in 66, 1970 Champions and two cup runs in the 70's were the high points. Nothing then until 89, some very poor seasons in those barren years when I went to almost every home game and a good many away too. Not so many these days, cost/distance, availability and my wife's cancer diagnosis and treatment (full remission, phew)amongst other things have kept the numbers down. Matches attended must be in four figures and never watched a league game that didn't feature the O's

I'm glad i chose Orient fifty years ago.If i had chosen Arsenal West Ham or Spurs i might have had a bit more glory but i definitely wouldn't be able to afford to watch them play nowadays.

Frightening thinking about how many games and how many hours of my life I’ve devoted to this club. Agree, but often think it is the only sane thing I can cling to and the most worth while. The O's is where we meet Kiplings two imposters.

But admit to enjoying other games live. The odd Yeovil and Eastleigh game and my local Wessex league teams. Not EFL I know but I just love watching a game. And I find it entertaining being in with the home fans, listening to their comments and appreciating just how biased us fans are. And we are! As a neutral it’s eye-opening, usually the referee cops it.
