It's an odd one but people have been calling for something to be done about Hemming. Keeley is younger and less experienced so it's more question of insurance I suspect rather than an outright rejection of Hemming, which would p*** off Middlesbrough
Clearly Sam is not seen as an option so I would expect him to go out on loan.

When you make a mistake, sometimes it takes alot to admit it and even more to rectify it.
I think RW has just done that with this signing. Hemmings will go back to Boro is my educated guess.
The fact its a fantastic financial deal says to me Spurs are paying 100% the lads wages allowing us to grab one more player in this window.

It doesn't make sense for Hemming to go back now. The club clearly doesn't see Howes as an option so we do need backup even if Keeley is first choice, which I don't think he necessarily is. In any case I don't believe Hemming would be able to play for Middlesbrough or go out on loan again until January. |

It's a kick in the goolies for Hemming, basically. I feel a bit sorry for Howes but he's only played about three games. One of those was brilliant and another a disaster.
